It didn't hurt the timeline any that they dusted off the teams' dossiers from the 2016 expansion that never was. I kid a tad here but there was already some familiarity with the programs that were ultimately chosen.

It will be good to not have two 800lb gorillas in the room. The Big12 will be a strong conference and extremely competitive. I don’t see anyone dominating and that’s a good thing.

I also expect the AAC to negotiate for a Dec 2022 release, so all teams can start play in the 2023 season. Delay doesn’t help anyone and they want to move forward as much as we do.

Agree on release date. I think everyone involved including Tex/Ok are likely to move on by then. Just a matter of making the $$ work for all involved.
