At times it certainly wasn't a strength in Bloomington--or against Murray State in the first half. Here's hoping for four quarters of great football because that is what it will take in South Bend.

Feeling more confident about this game gents. I heard some stat on sports talk that Cincinnati has never won a road game against a top 10 opponent. 0 for 20ish. Don't care. Nothing in the past matters on Saturday. We're going to line up from the other team and know that we belong. The Georgia game showed it. Our resolve playing in front of a hostile crowd at Indiana confirmed it. This staff, the players and the program are ready for this moment. We have a game experienced bunch on both sides of the ball. We need to attack and press that average ND OLine and I hope that includes some 4 man fronts and blitz packages. I expect a huge game from Rid. This is his moment to shine in one of the biggest games in UC history. He can definitely be the dynamic X factor with his arms and his legs.

Latest weather forecast is calling for scattered/occasional showers in the afternoon [45%] but more steady rain in the evening [68%].

I really hope the team reflects what Fick thinks about rankings.......they don't matter. I want the team to go out and play like they are the underdog, and they have everything to prove to show they belong.

If they go out and think they deserve the win because they are ranked higher and favored, then I think they will struggle and possibly lose.

Conversely, being a "ranked team" we will always get our opponents best shot because they will all want to knock us off.

Agree. We can't survive in the Big12 if we don't play the fist half. This is a great opportunity to show that we have arrived and are ready for the next step.

The other thing the coaches and team leaders need to focus on is keeping the stupid penalties to 0. I don't want to see a repeat of Hudson/UGA game. We had that game in the bag if Hudson doesn't commit a boneheaded penalty and gets ejected. I think in the IU game, Beavers committed one that cost us a series. The Bearcats need to play with passion and energy, but they also need to play with control.

Not only high football IQ but execution of the game plan/adjustments and winning the turnover battle. I really believe the Georgia game taught the team [staff and players] some lessons learned on a big stage.

I expect this Pyne kid to get a lot of reps if not start. We need to pressure him with contain to force the rook into bad decisions.

This is a non issue. There is absolutely no way they go into ND stadium over confident. If anything I think it could be the other way around...a little scared. They need to believe they can get it done.
