I'd say once VT upsets Notre Dame, the Hokies will be on ABC in prime time...

I'm not sure that would be an upset. Notre Dame has only played one true road game and they barely won over a 1-4 Florida State team that lost to an FCS team.

Early spread has ND -1 @VT. So, yeah. It wouldn't be that big of an upset.

Miami/North Carolina or Pitt/Virginia Tech will be on either ESPN, ESPN2, or ACCN. Game time will be 3:30pm. The ACC is once again fighting BYU (this time at Baylor) for the ESPN 3:30pm slot. Last time the ACC lost the ABC 3:30pm slot and had to settle for ESPN. NC State/Boston College is 7:30pm on ACCN. There is no noon ACCN game. Clemson/Syracuse is Friday on ESPN.

All times are official, some networks are subject to change:

https://theacc.com/news/2021/10/11/acc-a...er-23.aspx

Clemson at Pittsburgh is either ABC or ESPN at 3:30pm. The other game is Oregon at UCLA.

NC State at Miami is either ESPN2 or ESPNU at 7:30pm. The other game is a Big 12 game and there are four possibilities.

So if the ACC wants the ABC slot, they want Clemson and/or Pittsburgh to win and/or Oregon and/or UCLA to lose. Does ESPN2 or ESPNU really make a difference?

ACCN triple header is UMass/Florida State, Boston College/Louisville, Georgia Tech/Virginia. Syracuse/Virginia Tech is the RSN loser. Doesn't seem right. You beat UConn and you avoid RSN? Who should be the RSN game this week?

In every place I've lived it makes a huge difference. ESPN2 is (generally) on basic cable, whereas ESPNU is on the extra sports tier.
