RE: College Football Pick Contest (9/18/21)
Please double check! There was already one error found!

Final Standings:

SouthEastAlaska: 9 (Michigan State, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Alabama, Wake Forest, Penn State, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, BYU)

GoldenWarrior11: 8 (Michigan State, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Alabama, Wake Forest, Penn State, North Carolina, BYU)

quo vadis: 7 (Michigan State, Cincy, Minnesota, Alabama, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, BYU)
Crayton: 7 (Cincinnati, Minnesota, Wake Forest, Penn State, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, BYU)
Schmolik: 7 (Cincinnati, Minnesota, Alabama, Wake Forest, Penn State, North Carolina, BYU)
sierrajp: 7 (Michigan State, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Alabama, Wake Forest, North Carolina, BYU)

panite: 6 (Cincinnati, Alabama, Wake Forest, Penn State, Oklahoma State, BYU)

ChrisLords: 6 (Michigan State, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Alabama, Wake Forest, BYU)

Congrats to SouthEastAlaska for winning this week and 9 points is by far the best performance of the season (damn Colorado or you would've been undefeated!)

Congrats to everyone for being over .500 this week and for a record turnout (8 pickers). These games weren't gimmes, only one game was a unanimous pick, Arizona State-BYU, and that game had two teams similarly ranked. Three games, Auburn-Penn State, Oklahoma State-Boise State, and Michigan State-Miami, were 5-3 splits among pickers, almost true tossups.

Season Board:
GoldenWarrior11: 19
SouthEastAlaska: 17
Crayton: 12
panite: 11
quo vadis: 7
sierrajp: 7
ChrisLords: 6

RE: College Football Pick Contest (9/18/21)
Now that I have more interest, 8 of next week's games.

Notre Dame vs. Wisconsin at Chicago (noon, FOX, Big Nooner)
LSU at Mississippi State (noon, ESPN)
Rutgers at Michigan (3:30pm, ABC)
Texas A&M vs. Arkansas at Arlington (3:30pm, CBS, SEC Game of the Week)
UCLA at Stanford (6pm, PAC12)
Kansas State at Oklahoma State (7pm, ESPN+)
Kentucky at South Carolina (7:30pm, ESPN2)
North Carolina at Georgia Tech (7:30pm, ACCN)

Suggestions for two more?

Pick games or you're getting Illinois and Penn State!

RE: College Football Pick Contest (9/18/21)
9 out of 10 is very impressive. When I did men's basketball (https://csnbbs.com/thread-917200.html), no one ever got 9-1 in a single week. I once got 8-2. Football could be easier to pick although we are in the non conference season while last year when I did the men's basketball contest it was mostly the conference season and conference games are usually more balanced (although I tried to pick balanced matchups). Maybe the pickers are more knowledgeable in football.

Anyway, it is tough luck to go 8-2 and not win or tie to win. So I am awarding 1 rec point to GoldenWarrior11 for 2nd place this week/going 8-2. I will award 2nd place prizes if there are no ties for 1st place, enough people participate, and you do well enough IMO.

West Virginia at #4 Oklahoma?
I do not know their football history, but the way Oklahoma has played, it could be an interesting game.
