A little thing called the Logan Act, but at that point Flynn was a private citizen who had contact with other countries as a part of an incoming administration. Similar to what Biden's team did before he was officially President.

The only way anything happens is if Trump comes forward. If Trump publicly addressed this and stated that "if Milley did this it is an act of treason", then it would have to be addressed by Biden administration. I don't think he will, but he should.

This is treason by Milley and probably the Speaker. There are subordinates to Milley willing to testify. Need to see some serious action taken. Normally Congress handles trials for treason. Obviously if Pelosi is charged, she doesn't decide on a trial. I believe that decision would officially fall to Majority leader Steny Hoyer.

I suspect this is being publicized as another "in your face" to Trump and his supporters.
