Week 3 JMU @ Weber St
So, if it was such a killing field, how many Weber’s got dinged up and out as well?
Sounds like Bridgeforth circa concrete crown and pre 2003-4. Were all these injuries just one sided?
Just seems rather odd if so.

I also saw Latrele Palmer get banged up and I thought someone indicated someone else, possibly an offensive lineman, had a shoulder injury at one point during the game.
Weber's HC also had the nerve to say they were clearly the better team when down 17-3.
We need to stop this blaming the field BS. The fact that it is being replaced next year so what, Weber plays on it 6 times per year. It is football and injuries happen......are yall gonna blame JMU field conditions for last year's injuries or this year for Fornadal, Percy, McCormick, Carpernter, etc....
Wells played thru whatever issue he may have had so not even worth mentioning. A shoulder or collarbone can happen at anytime.......when it happened to Schor at Villanova did you blame the field.
Come on guys we are better than this BS.

This isn't BS...sorry to disagree with you. I saw the way players reacted after getting tackled. That's not BS. An inordinate amount of injuries to skill players in one game attests to that.

An inordinate amount really....Black and Bracey were hurt and did not return. 2 players not returning is an inordinate amount really..... I think Maine had at least 2 players get hurt and not return at BFS 2 weeks ago.....it is tackle football, and folks unfortunately get hurt.
Just b/c it is time for a surface to be replaced on schedule next year does not make it unacceptable.....it is not like the surface was nearly as treacherous and dangerous as the 2004 title game on natural grass.

The team is great when we're in control but seems like all that talent can over play when we're up against a wall and Cig hasn't figured out how to harness that yet, IMO.
Look, I'm hoping and rootin' but I don't see a double digit win. Happy to eat crow and throw in a $50 donation to the Duke Club if we win by more than 10.

What? Not that I saw.
Didn’t see an OL get injured.
It appears that Black the only serious injury, with Bracey TBD.

Cig stated today he expects Bracey to be good to go at UNH

Cignetti's track record at forecasting missed time related to injuries has not been good. For example, he said back in the preseason that Agyei-Obese was day-to-day and he has missed 3 games. So, I wouldn't put too much stock into that. The injuries are starting to pile up and it's definitely concerning. Also, not sure if it's been mentioned on here or not, but I don't believe James Carpenter played against Weber State.

Carpenter did not play- Johns was in a few times as was Funk.
As far as Percy goes, I sort of felt that Coach was a bit frustrated when he said, "I'd be disappointed if he didn't play" (something like that). Must be one of those lingering injuries, cause I'm sure Percy wants to be out there.
Also, does anyone have intel on Mikail Kamara? He had 6 starts last year at DE (albeit probably due to injury). Doesn't look like he's played this year.

Percy came into the season chasing career numbers and trying to prove himself to scouts, think he doesn’t want to be out there? I’m guessing Coach Cigs is giving him the time to heal. I’m sure if this were late season and we needed him Percy would be out there. Given our depth it made more sense to shut him down to get closer to 100% than fight through and stay hurt in games he’s not needed.

JMU would beat many FBS teams this season if given the opportunity.
Possibly getting votes and breaking into top 25.
