FIU is a soccer school. The UM alums who control the school would like to keep it that way.

At this point, I do not even know what kind of a school they are. They are not making an effort.

I have lived in Miami. Sweetwater is every bit Miami as Miami itself.

Besides, the Riccardo Silva Stadium, as well as the FIU campus itself, is actually located outside of Sweetwater limits.

Sweetwater is the crappy western edge, not the Miami that people know. 20 miles from the beach, it’s Sweetwater not Miami.

The Miami that people "know" are just 4-5 blocks with impressive skyline. The rest of Miami is much different. And having lived there for more than a decade, I know. Most of Miami is like Sweetwater.
