I’ve been to many awful Rice football games but that one just makes me think that Mike Bloomgren is dedicated to taking any enjoyment of playing or watching the sport out of consideration. So. So bad.

App State WRs drop two VERY catchable balls as they drive to try and win the game. Absolutely brutal for them.

Butterfingers cost them the upset.

The Toledo ending was worse.

No reason why coaching changes can't happen early.

Sure there is. It’s Rice.

Dr Kokoa Puffs managed to leave the game early and flip off the lights in his suite. Hopefully he’s chased by a pack of dogs on his next marathon training session.

Both he and Leebron should be made to watch these games much like in Clockwork Orange in super slow mo including the warmup and "fans" and during timeouts there should be scan of the stands. To think at one time, this game drew 62k. Do you think there will be 62k the entire season?

And what offense, pray tell, is effective when you are down 31-7?
Even at 17-7, the concept applies. If you don't throw A LOT in practice, you cannot score in a hurry when you need to.

And who, pray tell, do we have who can throw well enough to make that work?

I don't go to practice and you haven't been to a game in 10 years. So, I guess neither of us has the answer.

Fun fact. No one on our team gives a sh*t other than Kebreyun Page and Jovaun Woolford. Those two guys were trying to pump up the team during the fourth quarter, but the rest of our team did nothing. Mike Collins and Brad Rozner looked like they were sitting front row at a Chris Rock show the way they were joking around.

Bloom talking about McCaffrey in August:

“But then he drops to pass, and you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, this kid has a howitzer for an arm.’ He’s got the ability to make all the throws.”

No mention of Johnson, who started against Marshall and UAB last year and played well. Weird
