I’m watching this BYU game. Why is it laughable? Utah is #21 and BYU was a ranked team almost all last season. Plus it’s in Provo and a rivalry game.

Stanford is pouring it on against USC, now up 42-13 in the fourth.

Looking back to 1994, there were 16 in 2000 and 16 in 2013. No other year had more than 10. The only years with less than 5 were 2005 and 2008 with 2, 2019 with 3 and Covid 2020 with only 1-but there were only about 1/3 the normal number of games and only a few playing them.
