An over-looked reason for the AAC to grab Rice and FAU
They would corner the market on Owls. That sort of monopoly has to be worth something.

Reminds me when my brother and I spent a beer filled afternoon rearranging the NFL Divisions by mascot types.

The Plunder Division with the Vikings, Buccs, Raiders (forget the 4th)
The Big Cat Division with the Bengals, Lions, Panthers and Jaguars

You can have fun making up weird divisions. It helps to drink while doing it. More creativity.
