Coach Candle Stopped by My House Last Night
So last night, after some recreational peyote use, I let the dog out and sat down to contemplate life. After a few minutes, I heard a voice at the sliding door. I have no idea where my dog went, but Coach Candle was there. I let him and said "Coach, what a surprise, what brings you here?". He said that my pizza rolls and Taco Bell smelled amazing and that he was starving. I said "help yourself". The weird thing is that he just leaned against the counter, eating tacos and pizza rolls without using his hands. I offered him a plate, but he said no thanks. I said "While you're here, what are your thoughts on Saturday's match up". Coach said: "..one game at a time. We need to play 60 minutes of good football. There are no easy games. We can't afford to look past this team. We need to score more points. Offensively, we need explosive plays. We need to be efficient with the ball. We need to do stop the run. We need to pressure the quarterback." I was like "That is amazing Coach! Anything else?" He said "I need you there. I need you at that game! I heard how you put Toledo over the top against Michigan, and I need you there!". I was like "Yes sir! I will be there! I will be there, my wife will be there UT Jesus will be there, and 4, 998 others of Toledo's finest will be there; women, children, old people who think they're going to Branson! We'll all be there!!!" Before leaving, he turned, looked at me and said "Next Man Up!! Next Man Up!!". At some point I fell asleep, and I'm not sure what the dog ate last night, but there was a hell of a mess. I will never forget Coach making a surprise visit. So tomorrow, it's time for all of us to shine!! Let Notre Dame know that Toledo is in the house!! Next Man Up!! Next Man Up!!

Much like when Miami came to the Glass Bowl... How many ND season tickets did UT fans buy just for this game? I'll be disapointed if we dont have half of the stadium 04-cheers

Expecting a big crowd. This is the home opener after a year of no fans. If it is anything like Purdue was last week the crowd will be ready

Jim Morrison had a similar experience.

Did Candle mention anything about peacocks? Apparently they are the bird of choice for those of us not going to South Bend.

I'm signed up for the stream. But this was a real kick in the teeth not to be on NBC. Btw, the Irish are questionable at LB, Safety, and along the OL. Not to mention WR. Anymore
injuries and the Irish are in deep doo-doo. Wear these guys down.

To give a heads up on the Peacock Premium, evidently they are only running on 30fps instead of the 60fps that should be used for sports. So the action won’t look as good as it would on regular NBC.

ND is fine overall. I’m not sure what you mean by questionable at those positions? They have 4 & 5 Star kids at those positions. I don’t see ND wearing down at all.

I thought the post was pretty funny. Cleverly done.

If I was coach, I don’t think anybody needs information to game plan against my team, or place a more “sure” bet, etc. Screw ‘em. I don’t blame coach a bit for being tight with information. That helps our chances. Why is it important for me the fan to have information that hurts my teams chances? Don’t give them anything. More power to ya coach. I get it.

Not only that, but the Rockets really didn't show too much against Norfolk St.
Pretty plain stuff.

Candle was last seen chasing a Leprechaun out of town running west on Bancroft towards Indiana and a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
