Great game Troy. And the 9/11 tribute was fantastic.

Malik Willis man...

He's a special QB. Troy had him caught on a bunch of plays, and he somehow would slip away.

Gus Malzahn is an absolute fool for not letting Willis play at Auburn. He'd still be coaching in the SEC if he did.

Unfortunately you didn’t get to see Willis at his best. Our OL was a mess tonight between injuries, COVID issues and a good D line of Troy. He’s usually money on those drop back passes, but he was running for his life tonight. Best of luck the rest of the season.

If we were lucky Lindsey wouldn't be our coach.

Liberty now 7-1 lifetime vs. Sun Belt, and the one loss was when Freeze missed 3 weeks of practice with a staph infection and wasn't directly on the sideline in his first year, a loss to Louisiana.

RE: Troy vs Liberty
Point for Troy fans. LU having Willis has been the deciding factor in most all games he's played. He being the winning factor. Take solace that you sacked him 5 times, as few other teams have done. And you stifled him from putting up gaudy numbers. LU stumbled with many penalties stalling drives and drive killing plays. Botched plays (2nd blocked FG attempt in 2 games, excessive penalties) and basic sub par play. The Troy defense gets credit for a lot of that effect. And if LU was hitting on most cylinders, this game would not have been as close for one reason. The Willis factor. That is a testament of just how good and exceptional this player is. LU would be a much less successful team without him. He is the LU winning factor.

The all time record is 19-19 against the Sun Belt.
That 7-1 is since going FBS I believe.

You are correct, it is 7-1 since joining FBS....doesn't include time in FCS for Liberty.
