Tigers vs Arkansas St By The Numbers
Tiger's first road trip will be strength against strength and weakness against weakness.
UM rushing 322 ypg, ASU rushing defense 42 ypg.
ASU passing offense 308 ypg, UM passing defense 199 ypg
UM passing offense 265, ASU passing defense 292 ypg
ASU rushing offense 191 ypg, UM rushing defense 100 ypg.
Tigers may need to add flavor to their vanilla offense from last week as they step up in competition.
Henigan will need to have better accuracy this week to loosen up the ASU rush defense.
We cannot allow them to load the box and go man on the outside without making them pay the price.
ASU will show us something we did not see last weekend, a pass rush.
We have to return the favor.
Nicholls QB just flat missed a lot of targets and some of the targets just flat dropped the ball in key situations.
The two ASU QBs were a combined 28-38 with 4 TDs. Hatcher was a perfect 12-12 with 4 TDs.
We cannot allow whichever ASU QB that plays to sit back and play pitch and catch with his receivers.
ASU, while playing a lesser school, did have several large plays of over 30 yards with a couple over 40 yards.
So they do have weapons if they can get comfortable in their offense.
We had a few drives bailed out by penalties on Nicholls, something we should not expect this week.
We should have a large advantage in special teams and field positions could be key.
Our game this week is with ASU,
WE CANNOT BE CAUGHT LOOKING AHEAD TO OUR GAME WITH MSU.

RE: Tigers vs Arkansas St By The Numbers
Our line play is so deep this year. This may be the best offensive line we’ve ever had. Hopefully we can stay healthy and keep this depth. I think we will simply wear down ASU and a lot of teams in our conference.

I think we held back a lot of our offense. It will still be vanilla but I expect us to open it up further.
Come Miss St game, we really open it up.
