RE: Big XII Introductions.
I'm Ken.

UCF fan since UCF was a D2 school in 1983. Enjoyed the journey from a D2 playoff participant, to 1-AA/FCS playoff participant, to FBS BCS/NY6 Bowl winners.

Also responsible, along with a bunch of other contributors, for this effort to poke the bear (Nick Saban and Alabama fans) after the 2017 season.

I'm Troy,

Grew up watching the Coogs, went to my first game in the Astrodome when I was two in 1970. My dad had season tickets from 68-95. I went to UH from 1987 - 1991. Became a season ticket holder in 2003 and been one ever since.

I am Pete. I have been a BYU fan the 70s and am a 4th generation alum. I later attended TCU for grad school. I love both schools.

I am conflicted when they play, so I just hope both play well and no serious injuries occur.

I am very excited for the NB12 and think it will a really good conference, especially if they avoid the 9 game conference schedule.

JP aka BigCatonProwl I'm unabashed unapologetic Red Cougar (say that for you Blue Cougar supporters) supporter of UH, attended UH from 75-80. Majored in partying than getting a degree. My life worked out fine. Married a great woman who happened to be a Cougar to. She gone to the Lord now. She got her degree. Lol. Was part of UH during the heady days of the SWC . Winning the conference first 3 out of 4 yrs in the conference. Giving Horns ,Aggies , Razorbacks beat downs amongst the others. Attended some great games in the Astrodome , Rice stadium and Robertson stadium and the new one. It's like things have come full circle. LET'S GET

RE: Big XII Introductions.
I'm Zach, but almost everyone calls me Z, Fly, or Z-Fly. I have an engineering degree from Miami University (Ohio). I attended Miami from 2002-2006. During that time Miami finished in the top 10 in the AP poll, if you remember. Some call it the Roethlisberger years. It was exciting and made me fall in love with college football.

I was driving home from my first real job, and I heard the new Cincinnati Coach (Brian Kelly) selling season tickets on the radio for $60 for the entire season and it came with a T-Shirt. Due to the Cincinnati/Miami rivalry, I had been to Nippert and enjoyed the experience. I figured I'd pay the $60 and make what I could. It's only 10 min down the road. I mean it's Big East football, why not. I've never left. Still in the same section and row, 14 years later. The tickets are still only $150, but I'm guessing the price will be going up. My avatar pic, is from my seats. It's an unbelievable deal.

I am a UC grad, my sister is a uc grad both of my ex wives were uc grads and 3 of my cousins are uc grads.

I was always a basketball fan first but over the years have acquired a taste for football. However I still put basketball first.

By the way my actual and legal name is Roy3338 but I cleverly hid it when I joined this site.

If you check my earlier post you will see that I suffer from a split personality.

RE: Big XII Introductions.
University of Houston grad '95, University of Tulsa Law grad '01. I mainly handle will and estate matters so I don't do much litigating anymore. I support both my undergrad and law schools but UH comes first by a mile.

I went to UH during the dark ages from '91 to '95, when all of the athletic programs were on a downward spiral, many of the students walked around campus in ut and a/m gear, the campus was run down, alumni support was non-existent, the Southwest Conference was dying, and there was absolutely no attention paid to UH by the media or sports talk radio. It's no wonder that it seems as if everyone else at the games are either 10 years older or 10 years younger than me.

I am happy that my Coogs are finally joining the Big 12, especially because ut and ou won't be around to suck the life out of everyone and everything around them. I also look forward to finally being able to fully support TU in the AAC.

As the lone Baylor fan so far let me welcome everyone to the new Big 12. We currently hate TCU, Tech, oSu, KU, KSU, ISU, WVU, and UH while looking forward to eventually hating UCF, BYU, and UC in the future.

A bit about BU is that we aren't exactly like the Baptist BYU as only about 30% of our students identify as Baptist so feel free to bring the booze to our on campus tailgates. As you probably know, we love to have scandals that embarrass us as well as spending a lot of money to stay competitive in sports. Come on down for a football game in our new stadium and enjoy, but I'd wait until we build our new arena before coming down for a basketball game. I'm really happy to have all 4 schools.

RE: Big XII Introductions.
Like many Ohioans, I’ve got a friend or family member that went to just about every FBS school in the state, including Cincinnati.

I started following UC in 2006 when I was a college freshman with a lot of newfound free time and the Big East was playing a lot of Thursday night games on ESPN and became very sympathetic to the way the mouse used the ACC to weaken the Big East. I’ve stuck with the Bearcats ever since.

‘96 UC grad. For those that don’t know the Cincinnati campus and the surrounding area is technically several different neighborhoods, but people just often call that area Clifton. Clifton Avenue is a road that runs along the west side of campus; I think I picked it up a long time ago because one of the ESPN guys used to reference being on Clifton Avenue during UC games.

I am a longtime sufferer of conference realignment. So glad to be here finally!

RE: Big XII Introductions.
i became interested in college hoops with the laettner shot. i was like nine. baseball was the only thing my second dad liked so that's what i liked. the following year saw the bearcats rise to prominence under huggs. not sure if i was even aware of these bearcats prior. i was hooked but alas, the huggs years were filled with heartache. we'd be a blue blood if it weren't for that woman

i was some parking lot of some utah national park when huggs got canned. my buddies' dad called to deliver the news. sux he never coached us in the big east. oj mayo and sh!t (sans sanctions)

mick was alright. he woulda turned the ship around i feel and at the same time i was ready to move on. i was nonplussed. unfair or not, many folks checked out after the nevada

jb got the shaft but he had to go. tre scott was the best thing that ever happened to him

i'm down with wes. we'll see. kinda perplexing most of the newcomers followed him from greensboro when the portal was a daily occurrence. i hope one pans out

i haven't had a television since aught six and rarely go to live sporting events. i've seen maybe ten bearcat games in person or on the screen since. i listen to the games on the radio and we're blessed with great personalities. dan hoard is a legend and terry nelson is unstoppable. dan hoard does the bengal games as well as bearcat football. i think still the minor league pawtucket whatevers?

i hope this big twelve thing happens

UCF alum class of 95. Education Major, Teaching my 26th year. My name is based on a childhood nickname from my cousin who has passed on with the Knight to tie into my school. I am thrilled for the uptic in competition and look for those new rivals. I hope we get to play OU before they leave. I read here a lot, but post little.

I haven't been as active as I would like since the announcement either, but we both need to contribute more to his newly active board. But at any rate, welcome, Timbo!
