conference's 2nd week : might not be much better than the 1st
Tulsa is at Oklahoma State
East Carolina hosts South Carolina
South Florida hosts Florida
Temple is at Akron
Cincinnati has a cupcake at home, Murray State
Navy hosts Air Force
Houston is at Rice
Central Florida has a cupcake at home, Bethune-Cookman
Southern Methodist hosts North Texas
Tulane has a cupcake at home, Morgan State
we go to Arkansas St.
I hope that's no more than 3 L's. If Akron is not a whole lot worse than SUNJ-Rutgers, that could be trouble. If Air Force is not a whole lot worse than Marshall, that could be trouble. Surely Houston won't coog it. I expect Southern Methodist and us to take care of business.

Akron is quite possibly alongside UConn as worst FBS team.
So we'll see about that.
I agree otherwise. Bad look for the league and it ain't looking brighter.

The conference is a bit demoralized right now. The teams will snap out of it and I expect Houston, Cincinnati, and UCF to bare the brunt of the chickens coming home to roost.

As long as we play home and homes with Arkansas State, we deserve to be right where we are.

I will LMAO if Houston loses to Rice, but the only score that really matters to me is whether or not Memphis scores 1 more point than ASU.

RE: conference's 2nd week : might not be much better than the 1st
Well, Tulsa and East Carolina certainly answered the bell, nearly turned my post into an "anti-jinx". South Florida's score wasn't as bad as I feared it was going to be, 45-20, but they gave up what, 4th most yards all-time by the Gators (I don't recall exactly what the ticker said, something about yards.)
Cincy tied 7-7 at half with Murray State, WOW! What the heck happened there? Would have been hilarious if they'd lost, like MemTigers1998 said about Houston vs. Rice.
Everybody TCB'd except Navy, and I guess us. Giving up 50 to Ark St and getting out with a 5 pt win, Yikes! Little bit different ______ State coming to town next week, could be rough.
Congrats to Temple. Houston didn't coog it. 7-4 this week, now .500 for the season.

We were favored by 5.5 and won by five.
Funny how no one harps on the fact that we scored 55 points on the road against a perennial winning program.
Gotta fear Miss State though!

Miss State - the team that had to score 3 TDs in the 4th Q to win by one against vaunted La Tech.

and also the Mississippi State team who just beat North Carolina State by two touchdowns. A team that beat South Florida about 45 points the week before.

We shall see…NC State is not a world beater. We will smack USF badly when we play them as well.
Regardless, any team that has to rally to beat La Tech should not be a cause for the kind of fear some fans are showing on this board. They are coming here and we have an offense that will score. Let’s hope the D steps up.

Miss St could be a bad matchup. Our secondary last night appears to still be practicing the 6 ft social distancing protocol and Leach will throw it 75 times if necessary

Maybe more than 75 after watching film. We have a week to figure something out.

Safe to say, Silverfield is not a betting man.

That logic just doesn't work in football. Especially after 2 games.
