Why would UTSA want to do that?

The value of the AAC is still going to be more than CUSA, and being in a conference with SMU, Air Force, and Memphis, as well as Wichita State basketball is viewed as a step up. Hard to imagine any team from CUSA, the MAC, or Sun Belt turning down an AAC invite.

That isn't going to stop message board fans of schools who won't be invited from talking about how bad it is and how they wouldn't go if they were invited.
