WVU - a booster told me "We got Huggs drinking problem fixed. We got him a driver"
Eggsaver Model - Just ignore it.

#3 for sure. As a private university, Gonzaga can keep this from the glaring spotlight of media and, unlike public universities, avoid FOI requests.

Before Few, one would have been hard pressed to find Gonzaga with a map and a compass. Any institutional visibility it has is attributable to his basketball program and their leadership understands the value of that.

Does the Spokane local media look to humiliate Gonzaga at any opportunity like Cincinnati's does UC ?

Fair question. Maybe Gonzaga gets a free pass as X often does in this market.

To your point about UC and our local media, has the Enquirer/Cincinnati.com generated any local coverage of the Big 12 situation as original reporting? I think they have simply pulled reports and copy from other sources. It appears beat writers in Orlando, Houston, and SLC/Provo have all had something to add to the conversation in recent days.

He gets a slap on the wrist and this goes away as quietly as possible. He doesn’t seem like the raging alcoholic, I don’t expect him to do it again.

Remember, Huggins was not terminated by UC for his first offense. He had a history by the time UC finally showed him the door.

Few also pulled a Huggs by taking his program to National prominence.

Huggs never had a prior DUI. There were anecdotal reports. Those could have been true or BS.

gosh and I originally thought that a younger MARK FEW was an Opie Taylor look a like but also his life was an OPIE TAYLOR story. Guess FEW surprised us all.

If you're going to make a mistake as a head coach this would be one to have. Of course, if an accident, injury or death occurred then that is another matter. This wasn't something like compliance or cheating or player abuse or sexual harassment, etc. Raise your hand if you ever drove after drinking alcohol when you shouldn't have...
