We won't be good on the football side until we find someone to replace Holgs. We are in the midst of some down years because of 2 bad HC hires. i think we will be in a good spot though just based off what we will now be able to recruit.
On the basketball side...Sampson has done wonders and will be a solid add for years to come. looking forward to it.

I like Chris Petersen, the guy who coached Kellan Moore at Boise State. He's my choice to replace Holgorsen.

I'd like to see another eastern member or two added.

That might work. One of Peterson's issues has been that he has a kid with a medical condition and that his potential jobs had to be very near a top-notch hospital system. Which is why Washington was okay but other places not so much. Houston is well know for its hospitals and medical care and wouldn't be a problem.

But I've always liked Holgo - he gave Boykin (TCU QB) a high five after a good play and I've never seen (before or since) a coach do that. And he and Patterson on that "coaches watch the CFP games show" were an absolute riot.

I’m super skeptical and I’m afraid of a rug being pulled from under our feet but I can’t wait for us to be in the Big 12. We will have a really good football league and probably the best basketball league

I wish Memphis was coming to the Big 12. Would bridge the gap between the eastern schools and the central schools, plus they can compete in both revenue sports.

Congratulations to the 4 schools. This was the quartet I was hoping for. Its solid football and basketball additions.

If there were any further additions I would think Memphis & Boise St. are the next strongest additions. I think part of it is how much are networks willing to pay to have some late night starts and weekday games, as it sounds like Pete Thamel(as well as others) has hinted at this. A Wednesday night game in primetime with no competition might actually be a decent showcase for the league(the teams would obviously need a bye the week before). The more teams you have the easier it is to spread that game around.

I'm an ISU fan and I saw a video from Jamie Pollard the AD. Pollard said he promised to keep things confidential and that is why you hadn't heard anything from him but that someone in the group must be giving info to Pete Thamel because what he said is real accurate.

I am happy this is getting done and that ESPN couldn't kill the B12. And thank you P12 for being stupid and not expanding.

It like the TV folks like the 4 additions, without which the B12 leftovers would be looking at AAC money instead of continuing at the near the same level, even with 12 instead of 10.

And I am really happy that my two teams will play regularly again.

WV is going to be in a much better place with this shake up. You will get back into Fl. for recruiting and reduce travel budget. I do agree for you 14 is likely even better than 12.

Yeah, the Pac 12 really missed an opportunity to easily raid the Big 12. I won't say they made a "mistake" because their vision is their vision but they might come to regret not expanding now when they could have done so with little difficulty. They need attendance, passion, viewers, better football and a resolution/fixing of their TV situation and they passed up on a chance to address all of that. If the money projections are accurate, the Big 12 could well be earning as much or more than the Pac 12 going forward and schools may not be as willing to move there in the future.

They might re-visit this in a year or so when they commence their actual TV negotiations and their problems remain unaddressed. And when they discover that the supposed scheduling agreements in the "Alliance" don't amount to much. But for now, they missed a golden opportunity.

Really well done video, showing just how far UCF has come. Our first game in 1979 was literally played in a cow pasture.

As a Cincinnati fan and follower of the athletic program since 1978, we are very proud to be a part of the new Big 12.

The PAC inaction is a head scratcher. They have their own vision of what college football will be like going forward, and it doesn't seem to be unfolding that way.

Wonder what do they think they know that others are missing? On the surface it seems as though they feel their league prestige is leverage enough to pry some teams away from the B12 later, but I agree, if it appears to be a downward sloping lateral move, who'd jump?

Since 1995, we have been on a long, slow, PAINFUL journey back.

It's good to be here finally!
