11 more kills, 3 more blocks, 6 more digs. We have no offensive game whatsoever. Baylor has totally stymied us.

Hard to win when your setter is having the best hitting day.
3 kills on 5 attacks, no errors. Haha

17-25 Ugh

Baylor dominated that set despite continued good defensive play by Rice. Baylor is blocking or digging every kill attempt we make.

Carly (3 kills, no errors, 6 attacks) is the only Owl with positive offensive numbers. Nicole is hitting -.050; Anota .000. Most of our points are coming on Baylor errors.

7-5 One of our problems is that all our kill attempts are to the back line. We almost never try to kill down the line or straight down, save for Anota in the middle. Baylor frequently goes cross court with their kills. We just don't mix it up. makes it much easier for the defense to predict where we're hitting.

Pressley with 15 kills already. Skinner with 6 blocks. 9-12 Baylor on 4-0 run.

We're hitting .125 on the match. Nicole being totally shut out, and others aren't stepping up.

11-14 8 service errors, part of the reason our side out% is only 57%.

13-21 Baylor is just blocking us to death. Every single kill attempt is being blocked at the net. We're just killing right into the blocks. No aiming away from the blockers. Don't get it.

17-25 sweep. 03-hissyfit

Baylor's defense totally dominated our offense. No adjustments to our attacking strategy as we just continued to hit directly into core of Baylor's D. Again, our defense played well-- better than we played so far this year, but the offense was pathetic. We hit .159 for the match (and that was better than it appeared), with Ellie leading the way with all of 6 kills.

UT is an even better blocking team than Baylor, so next Wednesday could be really, really ugly if we don't devise a better offensive strategy. Just continuing to hit into the blockers isn't going to get it done against a good defensive club.

What the hell happened? We decide to take a day off? This team improving with time or already peaked?

Defense was definitely improved, but the offense faced a buzz saw in Baylor's defense. We weren't very efficient, but a big part of that was Baylor.
