RE: #14-Henigan QB- my early assessment
Different time, but Lynch was severely handcuffed for all of his time here until late 2014, or maybe even 2015 at all.
Not saying that was even a bad move.
The playcalling this coaching staff gave a freshman in his first outing, let's not say it was the same as what we have seen recently with new QBs.

No one said that. You missed the point.

RE: #14-Henigan QB- my early assessment
IMO Seth H made very good decisions at QB. He did not try to force the ball to receivers. He often went through his progression to find the open man. When he threw to a receiver in single coverage he put the ball in the right spot. He was not hesitant to throw the ball away when there wasn't anything good available.
If I didn't know better i would bet money that the Tiger QB in the Nichols State game wasn't a freshman. Silverfield does a great job evaluating talent and recruiting that talent to Memphis. The program is in good hands. Support it and talk about it positively to the negative nellies who will bad mouth our team, our conference, and out results. Go Tigers Go

I'd agree with most on here, Seth looked great.
He did a lot of little things that one would never expect out of an 18 year old frosh. He threw the ball away in situations where some would have tried to force a throw. He scrambled well the few times he needed. He had a couple nice fade passes where the ball was only going to be caught by a Memphis receiver.
He and Dykes need to work on getting a better rapport--Dykes will be a HUGE plus for Seth--especially if Seth can work progressions.

Henigan looked better than a lot of the QB's I watched over the weekend on TV.

If Brady doesn't make it to the league, he might be full time on staff as the quarterbacks coach before Henigan's career is over.
From last nights performance it appears to me the Tigers might just be in for another championship season.
I'd want White as a possible future offensive co-ordinator. He knows the offense about as well as Coaches Norvell, Dillingham, Long, Hall, Silverfield, and Johns.
Yep he has been in this offense longer than our offensive coordinator has been
