To be fair to Green, we don't know if the receivers are getting any separation. He still hasn't looked good, though. And if McCaffrey couldn't beat him out for the starting job, then...

Get Green out of there. Arkansas is missing their best DT, and now, their middle linebacker. McCaffery needs a chance.

Bradley Rozner scored for Rice at the conference track and field championships - in the HIGH JUMP! Not only is he tall, but he has hops. Loft the ball in the air and he'll catch it.

McCaffrey takes over after Wiley took a targeted hit to the helmet that resulted in the ejection of Grant Morgan, the "quarterback of the Arkansas defense."

Lackluster result.

After three missed owl tackles on the punt return, Arkansas will take over on their 8-yard-line after an illegal block in the back penalty. (5:26 left in 1Q)

I am ok with Wiley’s first couple series. He had a few solid passes and his miss on 3rd down was the coach’s playcall. The receiver was covered (by 2 defenders).

I think the Rice defense will be ok if we can stop the Arkansas QB from running all over us. Already been in the backfield a few times and seem to have decent coverage so far.

A couple terrible throws from Arkansas' QB. Seems like the play is to make him beat us in the air. Good response by the defense.

Defense better not give up more than 10 more points because the offense isn't scoring more than 10 at this rate.

I cannot believe Rice has failed to get a placekicker. That guy is STILL lousy.

Is anyone counting the number of Owl missed tackles?

Apparently Bloomgren told the announcers that Rice’s playbook on offense is so complicated, it is like learning a foreign language like Mandarin. I look forward to ruowls (or another former player) chiming in to confirm later (SARCASM).

Yeah, it’s kind of amazing. We’re missing tackle after tackle and yet our defense is generally making stop after stop
