I would say using any derivative of the word offense in relation to our QB play would be giving it too much credit.

I don't think its wise to even think about firing Rahne after a mere 7 games. Its kind of crazy but with that said the leash should be short with Rahne. Some dumb **** in the admin decided to keep Bobby Moron Wilder for an add'l year and see what that got us into.

We've played 7 games.
We didn't play in 2020.
We returned in 2021 with a mostly freshman team being coached by a new staff.
Don't let the record fool you, because this team is about 200 penalty yards away from a 4-3 season.
We should have beat Buffalo, Marshall, and UTEP. If you ask me, they showed some pose in that Liberty game.
The team needs to start playing at the beginning of the game.

Everyone needs to chill out.
Let the team rebuild and come out next year....

I agree with the "chill out", but I really do not believe we need to wait for next year. We have one win while losing three close games to UTEP, Marshall, and Buffalo. I have posted this thought once before, but I just believe it bears repeating. Getting five or six wins this year is realistically possible. Here is the remaining schedule.

vs LA Tech (2-5)
At FIU (1-6)
vs FAU (4-3)
at MTSU (3-4)
vs Charlotte (4-3)

LA TECH
Tech beat SE Louisiana and UNT and lost to Miss State, SMU, NC State, UTEP, UTSA Their record is not good, but they are a better team than their record indicates. They lost by 1 to Miss State, by 2 to SMU and by 7 to NC State. However, they are coming off two pretty solid losses to UTEP and UTSA. We get them at home, and we had a bye week to get ready. This should be a hard game but winnable.

FIU
This team is clearly the worst on our schedule. Their only win is Long Island University with losses to Texas State, Texas Tech, Central Michigan, FAU, Charlotte and WKU. Although we play at FIU, this game is a should win and a must win.

FAU
Three of FAU's four wins were at home against GA Southern, Fordham and FIU with one impressive win on the road against Charlotte. Their three losses were all on the road at Florida, Air Force and UAB. Their overall average score is 36 points per game, but their average score in their three road losses is under 12 points per game. The good news is we get them here at home. If the defense stands up, this will be a close but winnable game.

MTSU
The Blue Raiders' three wins are against Monmouth, Marshall and UConn, all at home. Their four losses are all against teams on the road; VA Tech, UTSA, Charlotte and Liberty. They don't look like a real good team, but not necessarily a particularly bad one either. This game looks like a toss-up, and we need to, and can, win the toss.

Charlotte
The 49ers have wins over Duke, Gardner-Webb, MTSU and FIU with losses to GA State, Illinois and FAU. This game really depends on how both teams do in the interim. We get them at home, and if we go into this game on a winning streak, we will have a real chance to wind up 6-6.

So -- my glass, as always, is half full. I see realistic chance of five and possibly six wins to end the season on a high note.

Bowl game, anyone? Cheers, all!

Well if we can't get fans back into the stadium, we're not giving him much to work with. That was what he talked about the most when taking the job on that drive to Norfolk. The new growth and sellout streak was a selling point. Instead, our performance is actually earning a "Fire The Fanbase" thread.

Technically we know that “sellout streak” was a total joke.

Yea but the stadium still looked like a good program with upside potential. Right now from an objective viewpoint, our crowd is looking about as bad as any program in CUSA. That's just real talk. Hopefully there is some pride out there to change it up soon.
