I know many take pride in their tailgate feast and put a lot into planning and preparing for it, but if you want quick, easy and efficient you absolutely can not beat they hospitality tent. I have always been surprised at how low the turnout is. For $60/season, you can not hit beat it. Yesterday’s game was subs, fruit, cookies, chips, ice cream, 2 adult drinks (beer, wine or hard cider) and Brothers was set up giving out samples of the Proud & True lager. The samples were unlimited and entailed a full bottle with special P&T coozie, so yeah, well worth the price of admission.

Yeah I have never done it and I figure this can be the year to remedy that. How extensive is the non food related activities?

Not sure what you mean, I believe you must have that ticket to get into the area. So you can either get in ands it’s pretty much all you can eat plus 2 adult beverages, or you don’t get in. The cheerleaders show up and there’s TVs to watch the other games. The schools sells the season package at $60 which for a 6 game season is only $10/game, or they sell the games individually at $15 and like I said I believe it’s a real bargain. This is old info, but it’s pretty much what you could expect:

You forgot the mac n cheese which I thought was the best part.

The turnout is low because the food quality has gone way downhill. There used to be a literal served buffet of items like sliced brisket, pulled BBQ pork, jerk chicken, scalloped potatoes, steamed vegetables, pasta dishes, salads, breads, and it was made by local restaurants. It was top notch and it was an open bar, too. The place was packed back then from open to close, you had to get there at the open just to get a seat and there was a line for the buffet. Those were the days. Now that they're down to offering sliced up wedges and 2 drinks maximum, I can understand why it's only 1/3rd full. But it still is a quick easy way to get some food and drink on your way into the game.

Yes, the Mac & cheese was very good. And yeah the menu is obviously lacking from back then but still worth the price of admission. With the free samples we actually didn’t use all of our drink coupons.

Here is this weekend's menu:
Food Menu: Pinwheel Wraps, Potato Salad, Fruit Salad, Bags of Chips and Sweet Treats
Beers: Blue Moon, Bud Light, Vienna Lager, White Claw Mango
Wines: Line 39 Cabernet Sauvignon, Bluestone - Beau

Featured Tastings:
Wine: Joel Gott Chardonnay
Beer: Three Notch'd Blood Orange Gose

With two drink tickets, it's worth right about the ten I paid but man do I miss the old days.

That is a pathetic food lineup. Sounds like a school lunch.

Do they not have local vendors/restaurants sponsor anymore?

Mr. Js Bagels sponsored this week's offerings but the days of the Downtown Dining Alliance putting out a first class spread are over.

Too bad they don’t have some of Mr. J’s bagel sandwiches.

It's almost as if they want you tailgating instead.

Maybe so, but at $10 it easily pays for what you get.

Once again got my monies worth on liquids but the pinwheels being the main entree was just awful.

They were awful. And no bags of chips! That was the only item that actually goes with beer and I couldn't even get that. At least I wound up with 2 extra drink tickets to wash down that creamcheese slathered nonsense. I can't see myself coughing up $60 a person for this next year.
