Are you thinking then the AAC will go back to 12 or beyond to give everyone regional competition?

1 or 2 members is not going to move the travel expenses down significantly for Temple either.

But Temple should at least stay put for the time being and collect its share of exit fees from UC, UH and UCF. See what the ESPN consultants say.

I would say if they are going to go in a different direction the target date would be more 2026 to get in front of the playoff.

I'm pretty sure Ga State, Charlotte and FAU are not in the Northeast part of the country.

What about North Dakota State and San Diego State. I think they would be good fits as well. 03-lmfao

UConn-FB
UMass
Army-FB
Buffalo
Temple
Ohio

Marshall
ODU
App St
Charlotte
Georgia St.
FAU

Could this be better than sitting in the AAC an absorbing massive travel costs?

You'd have to stick Marshall or Ohio in the same conference. Maybe slide ODU into over to balance it out.

I do wonder if there will be some internal pressure within the school to review options. Not that the AAC is “ZOMG RIP!!!1!!1” but the loss of decent football and basketball members, as well as the added travel strain with the loss of Cincy, there’s a lot to consider for both sides.

Can’t say I wouldn’t like for an A10 reunion, but, that’s probably not happening. Maybe more like the AAC needing to revisit the idea of UMass or Buffalo.
