Compliments to the ECU fans I ran into last night and this morning. Lots of friendly banter done in a collegial nature. I think most App fans had the same experience. There seemed to be a mutual respect between the fans, and I know most App fans wish the best for ECU.

Everything went your way that game. SBC refs suck. We still would have lost but momentum is a hell of a thing and ours got killed at every stop.

Again, we were the worse team but sure as **** didn't get any help.

The continued stagnation of ECU is just weird to watch given ECU was extremely difficult to deal with in the mid 2000's when UCF joined CUSA. Going into ECU with a packed and loud stadium and talented team was always a chore to deal with.

I was sure ECU would get back there especially after joining the AAC but it's just never happened.

I feel like we are in for a long season due to our inexperience in the trenches.

Sean Baily on the OL and Xavier Smith on the DL are the only players with more than 2 years experience (the Graduate students have either 1L or 2L each).

ECU was playing the caliber of a top 3 AAC team. Good experienced teams can do that to opponents.

Also the comment that App didn't look superior, only capitalized on opportunities is puzzling. I knew after each team had three positions the game was over, the line play and the caliber of weapons was noticeable. App honestly was gracious with the play calling in the second half and had the 2s on defense in vs. ECU's 1s for the 4th quarter.

Tulane went to ECU last year (in Greenville) and had a very similar result. Tulane is 7th in the AAC.
