How does this get by ESPN?

I know many will knock ESPN, but a fake school get's on National TV?

I heard producers from ESPN this morning on the radio indicating they could not verify the high rankings of the players they were given by Bishop Sycamore. ESPN ranks the players - how could they not know and see right through this?

It's a crazy story. How did IMG Academy the sports factory not know either? IMG Academy isn't allowed to participate in FHSAA playoffs/championships. All of their teams are "bought" teams.
We had the state track meet at IMG a few years ago and the football players were working out adjacent to the track and I just stood there and marveled at all of the P5 DB's and WR's. The GHSA won't allow any Georgia high schools to go there any longer for games/meets/competitions because they were stealing so many athletes.

Just goes to show you how shady all these ratings and stars are.

HC Roy Johnson, who was fired after the game, has a bench warrant for domestic violence and also has a court appearance for defaulting on a 100k loan back in 2018.

This thing will get a little crazier before it settles down (still haven't seen anything from any students/parents). They were scheduled to play a couple JMU commits at Life Christian. I'm more surprised that DaMatha had them on the schedule.

Seems like high school football is going the path of AAU basketball.
