I'll have what you're drinking or smoking or both...lol.

This was your quote from earlier today. I don't want any part of what you're drinking.

Quote:I think UAB finishes 7-5. Can't see us beating a decent and a very good team on the road.

Ok, but Almond Milk with a hint of honey is pretty good. But what does that has to do with what you said? I just want to know what you are talking about in the bold?

I thought we were contrasting my optimism with your pessimisim.

I also thought it was fairly clear what I meant, but I'll 'splain. We are now 7-3. If we win the next two Saturdays--which is still a possibility--we are 9-3 regular season. That gives us a chance to play in the conference championship game, and a bowl game, and with wins in both, we could still get to 11 wins.

Is it likely, with this team, and the injuries, and the chronic mistakes we make, to win four more games in a row? Probably not. But it's possible. That would salvage what I believe to be a fairly disappointing season.

My bad. I'm so pessimistic that I was thinking UAB had already lost 5 games......geez.

Hate or love Clark, you can’t deny that the man has been pretty damn amazing and the fact that UAB went from being annually one of the worst teams in FBS to having fans gripe that 7-5, 8-4, 9-3 is a disappointing outcome lol. Not saying I’m not hoping for better, but the expectations being this high are wild and UAB would have, as soon as 4 years ago, been considered one of the hardest schools to win at. I’m thankful to be a Blazer. I’m thankful Clark is our coach. I’m also thankful that teams like Rice can come beat teams like UAB. THAT is what makes this sport fun. Not when teams are undefeated and kill the other. If underdogs are never allowed to win, then UAB would have had a disappointing run since the return. I, for one, am super proud of this team, the players, the coaches, the stadium. So much to be thankful for and so much fun to be had. I just hope the American can bring actual rivalries, that’s all we are missing

Complaining about the excessive penalties doesn't equate to folks wanting Clark gone. It equates to folks wanting Clark to address the issue. Be he and the DC has already stated they are fine with the penalties so that's that. Not going to stop the complaining but it's whatever at this point.

HD is correct.

Without penalties and crucial coaching mistakes, we would've stood a very good chance to beat Liberty, definitely beat Rice, beat La Tech by 5 TDs, and won yesterday by 21+ instead of sweating out a last second win.

We make things so much harder on ourselves and cap our true potential with the self-inflicted crap. We could easily be 9-1 right now. It's mainly our own fault that we aren't. Some are okay with that.

You're overly sensitive if you think me, or others, complaining about legitimate issues equates to us wanting Clark gone.

Not incessantly complaining about the obvious isnt “being ok with it.” It is called not feeling the need to say the same things over and over, and definitely not feeling the need to told-you-so when the incessant points prove predictable.

Share my opinion on the game or don’t speak at all

You want the fan based to grow, there’s gonna be constant criticism. Otherwise we’ll have the “vocal few”
sitting on their hands in sec 125-126 not making a damn sound while we get our ass beat by Rice. Giving those who are actually making noise, weird looks as they ***** and scream the whole game for coach to make adjustments.

If it weren’t for those who complain on here, there’d be no noise at our games. That’s the passionate ones.

And telling people who are tired of the excessive penalties to enjoy a win doesn't mean they aren't "enjoying a win."

I truly think that Coach Clark addressed the penalties. You could see it most of the game where PF penalties would normally occur, out team checked one another. Kudos for improvement in that area.

We went half the game with no penalties.
Why beat the dead horse when it looks like it was addressed.
Surely we can find something else from that game?

Because they had around 10 penalties for over 100 yds in the 2nd half. So maybe Clark told the guys "Hey guys do me a solid, go the 1st half without any penalties and you can have as many as you want in the 2nd half!" Issued addressed!

Even I admit the penalties were a lot better last game. We still had some in key moments late in the game that cost us. There's still room for improvement. We will need to have that amount of penalties or less to beat UTSA.
