You really think anyone is leaving the Belt for CUSA? If anything a Belt school gets poached over Clt and the Belt poaches a CUSA school and CUSA sits on 12 members

No offense to GaSt but I would hope CUSA adds no more teams ever, until it’s down to 8. Better odds at NCAA autobid for all members.

i'd say Ga State is higher on the AAC list over ODU & UNCC. Bigger market, better success, better facilities, R1.

If AAC loses UCF and Cincy, and MWC loses Boise, AAC might look west for additions rather than East anyway. UAB is probably gone either way.

SBC makes a serious run at Marshall and USM, if we're calling up an FCS school, its JMU or nobody.

I would love it f the MWC invited NDSU. I think Montana should try to move up also.

Well this is just my opinion but I think App would go w/o Ga South in the right scenario. Our AD realizes that fab engagement is going to be huge going forward in the post cable world. Losing our biggest rival would be a risky proposition so the financial and ancillary benefits would need to be substantial.

I think a football only invite to the AAC only works if it’s the current AAC - 1 of the big 4, maybe 2 if it’s Cincy and Houston. Otherwise too risky. Sunbelt football would leap the AAC if they lost UCF/Memphis/houston/cincy

Do you think that after adding several mediocre large-market programs, that C-USA would make the same mistake again? Like what other posters pointed out, the Sun Belt has nearly passed C-USA in almost every revenue sport. If anyone gets poached, it will be Marshall, USM, and/or Charlotte joining the Belt.

The Big12 wants BYU who wants to join the Big12, or else one or both of those don't happen. Then the Big12 raid the AAC for 1 to 4 schools. Then the AAC stands pat, or raids CUSA for one school, or raids CUSA for two schools, or raids CUSA for three schools or raids CUSA for two schools and SBC for one school. Then CUSA stands pat, or raids the SBC for one school, or invites JMU up. Then the SBC stands pat, having not been raided, or sees if JMU understands that joining the SBC is not such a bad idea after all, or if it just needs a school to make up the numbers it can always add NMSU FB-only again ...

... and ain't noway, nohow that the SBC adds Stephen F Austin.
