Ball State has signed transfer PG Luke Brown, fourth highest scorer in in Ohio HS history. Not clear if he’ll be eligible to play this season.

Due to highly rated Indiana beating EMU by only 6-points, Massey rankings jumped EMU 39 spots from 254 to 215 in the nation. Would have been even higher but for EMU scoring 62-points against Indiana.

Wish I could frame that OREB% number, since we just went through 11 years of giving up millions of offensive rebounds. I loved the zone, and it was far more effective than not (it kept Murphy employed for longer than he probably should’ve been), but it was maddening to watch a great defensive series spoiled by a long OREB. Yesterday was a breath of fresh air in that regard.

Ain't that the truth Sam! Unlike you I hated the zone, but our despise for giving up offensive rebounds is unanimous.

The increased use of the three point shot produces longer rebounds, thus a long front line of Thompson, Minnie and Toure no longer guarantees command of the defensive boards. I love a rim protector shot blocking center but if I cannot find one suitable, a Ty Groce type forward will suffice in today's game from a rebounding standpoint.
