Sorry to disappoint you OP but....

The neighsayers will be wrong why because they have proven that they can draw viewers nationally while some other G5 schools can't. It is because they are the little school who can beat anybody on the field. That is what fans want to see. An undefeated Boise State Vs an undefeated Oklahoma State game at the end of the season could be worth watching.

BSU has had some good teams but I'm not sure they continue as strong of records in even a 14 team B12. If the records are not 9 or 10 win type seasons BSU won't be that big of a tv draw.

If you look back through our history, since the Lyle Smith years starting in 1947, whenever we’ve moved up, we’ve risen to the top. 75 years of history is on our side (we’ve only had 5 losing seasons since becoming a 4-year university in 1968, despite climbing up from the lowest rung on the ladder: junior college to division II, to FCS to Big West, WAC, and currently Mountain West). It might take 2-3 years to get our legs under us, but there is no doubt in my mind that we’ll become a steady competitor for a play-off spot if given the opportunity.

What if boise state joined football only and Gonzaga joined in all other sports? Hmmmm
