Toledo made an interesting 2022 Class offer today to undersized 16-year-old, 5-9 Point Guard, Kareem Rozier from Detroit Orchard Lake St. Mary’s who only has offers from Mississippi Valley State, Northwood and Grand Valley State. He really blew up this summer while playing for an excellent AAU Team called Meanstreets which made it to the Final 4 of the prestigious George Peach Jam Tournament. He has been described as a team first type of player, lively floor general, creative playmaker, frenetic perimeter defender & a constant vocal leader. These kind of descriptions usually mean that this type of player is “pass first/shoot second” which isn’t always bad when talking about a point guard. You have to wonder whether or not his lack of size limits him on the offensive end of the court. TK has tended to favor more offensive minded Point Guards like Juice Brown, Marreon Jackson and Ryan Rollins so it will be interesting to see how this recruitment plays out.

In the video on Verbal Commits he appears to have slippery moves and slick handles.

Official visit means we are on the short list. Hereʻs a little more recent video of Roy. reminds me a bit of marreon jackson in terms of size and quickness and that heads up passing style. looks like a pretty complete offensive player, not sure about the defense and rebounding.

dunno if that's the case. Akron already has 3 pgs on the roster and none is a senior.

in terms of recruiting OU is on a major roll. they got 4 2022 kids committed including a couple of top 200 players, plus elmore james-the Cleveland bodybuilder/sg UT was also after, and a really talented but somewhat under-recruited rural Ohio guard. As good as any class I can remember coming into the league in a while.
