I was listening to the Jeff Bower call-in show earlier tonight on the radio, and 95% of the show consisted of talking about Brett Favre. Guess that's what happens in Hattiesburg every year when they realize their season is in the toilet again!

Go ahead and admit that the Jeff Bower Show is better than the Cutcliffe Show. We have better fans and people actually call in. At least Brett won a Super Bowl and plays on winning teams. What about Archie? He played for the Saints, never had a winning season there and never made the playoffs. That is the story of a typical Ole Miss athlete--Disappointment!!! LOL!
GO EAGLES!!!
OLE Miss Football=5-7 finishing record. What a joke!!

Well, the difference is this:
Archie? He was great at Ole Miss, only the best ever QB, definitely at Ole Miss(the Flagship, by the way), and maybe even arguably the South, in general. He goes to the A'ints, has no support or blocking there, and basically was a victim of bad players surrounding him on every team he played for. Not to mention, he never had ANY encouragement from upper mgmt in New Orleans, nor did they have any real desire to win.
Brett Favre? He had a very mediocre career at Miss Southern, at best. Noone had ever heard of him in college, hence I think he was a 5th or 6th round draft pick, if I remember correctly. He lucks out after a brief stint with Atlanta and gets picked up by Green Bay, a team known for its passion for winning and going after the supporting casts it needed to win. Management? Well, it's basically owned by the city of Green Bay, so the support has always been there for Brett.
Moral to the story: Archie was great while at Ole Miss. And Brett? Well, Brett had to leave that po-dunk sh1thole of a town and school in Hattiesburg to be great. Nuff said!

That is such a typical Ole Miss response. Do you want some cheese to go with that whining you are doing? You are making excuses for Archie. Go ahead and admit that he was not that great of a qb. He was simply mediocre and overrated. Brett led us to victories over FSU, Bama, Auburn, LSU, etc. He basically owned the SEC when they had the courage to play us. That is truth and you can look at the records to prove it. To sum it up, Brett is a better qb than Archie. Isnt Archie a comic book character? Where is Vernoica, Richie Rich, etc?
GO EAGLES!!!

Did Brett make the All-American team? Why didn't he win while he was at Atlanta? Oh yeah, that's right, he was too busy throwing interceptions so they benched him, repeatedly.
Has he finally sobered up enough to win another super bowl?

The question is, how many Ole Miss qbs have played in the Super Bowl? None!!! The reality is Ole Miss simply sucks and lacks football tradition. I guess the truth hurts doesnt it, JBR? However, I admire your will to stick with a losing team. One day when they come around, you wont be considered a bandwagon fan. LOL!!!
GO EAGLES!!!
18-17 Series record between OM and Southern Miss; dont deny facts!!!
