O/T WMU is playing a lot of tough teams, on the road, and cupcakes at home. Western has 4 OOC games, 3 of which are non-D-I.

I'm sounding like broken record but non-D-I MBB games for MI MAC schools is like "love and marriage..." (I forgot the rest of the lyrics).

Yeah only one of these is at home. Will wait to see what the rest of the schedule looks like.

With Luka S., Binelli (hope he’s fully healthy), and Okongo not joining the team till next semester, that’s when EMU’s internal competition should heat-up, and team will have more time to get to gel. Might take some time sort out some starters and rotation.


Believe EMU may still have option to add two transfers or freshmen recruits, as Binelli, Okongo, and Spottsville, don’t count against the 13-scholarship players allowed to be on the roster.

Bart Torvik has EMU playing non-conference game against Indiana University on Nov.9th. May be season’s opening game. Also, Valpo. Rumor is that EMU will also play Michigan State.

only 1 D2 opponent, exhibitions against a couple D2 teams.

Toledo's home schedule isn't spectacular but about as good as as anyone in the MAC most likely

There is an article in The Blade today about the difficulty of non-conference scheduling for UT men's basketball. The link is below, but a few interesting things:

-UT contacted 61 power conference and mid major schools about scheduling a home and home or 2 for 1. Richmond was the only school that agreed to a deal.

-TK contacted 3 coaches in the Midwest that he has friendly relations with about a 2 for 1. None of them even responded.

-A coach of a top 50 program responded to TK's inquiry about a home and home with this: "Have you lost your [expletive] mind?"
