Huskies in the NFL
So I turned on the Saints game tonight hoping to see TLL and Sutton Smith is playing fullback?!?! Even had a nice catch out of the backfield.

Also was nice to see Heflin making a run at a roster spot for the Pack. He was all over the field last game I saw.

Looks like both Sharping and Steckler will make the Houston Texans roster.

https://www.sportsmockery.com/chicago-be...-soon-cut/

And bears fans maybe an additional Oline pickup will become available.

RE: Huskies in the NFL
These guys are locks for the 53 man roster
Vikings= Chad Bebee
49'ers = Jimmie Ward
Falcons = Christian Blake
Giants = Kenny Golladay
Texans = Big Max

The Saints cut Sutton Smith earlier this week and placed Tommylee Lewis on Injured Reserve. From what I read Tommylee will not play this year but will get his salary. Sutton was making a great competition with the other Fullback. Not sure why they cut him so quickly.

Heflin has been tearing it up with the Packers and making it a difficult decision to cut him. Most likely will be cut. Hopefully a practice player at the least. They like him a lot.

Packers released Daniel Crawford TE

Surprised to see Steckler possibly sticking with the Texans. Awesome news!

Who am I missing?

Saints were already thin at DT and then a starter got injured. They had to sign another DT ASAP. That’s primarily why Smith got Released.

I'm pretty sure Heflin is going to make the 53. He moved up the depth chart in terms of who he was playing with each week of the preseason and played really, really well. Packers were 18th in yards per carry allowed last year so I think he not only makes it but plays quite a bit.

Yeah, the Packers are thin at DT and he has been making his presence known in the opportunities given. I think he makes the roster as well.

That’s awesome! Side note Melvin was a last minute cut by Carolina.

According to Pro Football Trade Rumors, Chad is under the waived/injured designation. Which unfortunately means that once the 2 sides can agree to an injury settlement, he will be looking for a new team.
I thought Chad earned a roster spot on the Viqueens. The injury bug always seems to derail him just when he is making strides. I still cringe thinking about that broken forearm.
Hopefully he finds work after he heals.

Do we still get to claim him as a Huskie player in the NFL or does Iowa get to claim him?

We all know he has way more Huskie Blood running through him. We get to claim him, all day!

I am all for that. I hope he also identifies himself as a Huskie rather than a Hawkeye. I guess we'll find out during a broadcast game when they have the pre-recordings of the starting players and the players announce their alma mater.

Was it Heflin that was kind of a tool when he transferred or am I confusing him with Kramer?

It was Kramer who didn’t feel the MAC provided enough of a challenge for him.

According to IUs 2-deep he’s back-up at a DT position.
