Sounds like there is a bidding war in place between Oregon and Miami over Christobal. Saw a report that Oregon is offering BK type money to keep him.

Uncle Phil doing his thing. I've been down there a few times this year - his money has transformed that place, and there's plans for much more.

If I ever become a billionaire, I promise I’ll spend big bucks on making sure UC has the best facilities and coaches. 03-drunk

Took a screenshot of that pledge. I'm holding you to it.

And the pitchforks and torches are being gathered in Toledo.

Yeah, Toledo is a very good and proud program. 7-5/6-6/7-6 all the time isn't going to cut it. Candle's first two years, I'm guessing he mostly won with Campbell's players. Looks like his contract runs through 2023. I wonder if 2022 might be his last year barring a minimum of 8 or 9 wins. Not a good time to be looking for a coach, plus I'm sure they want to avoid paying as much of a buyout as possible with all the MAC financial woes, so I'd give him one more year to prove he either deserves an extension or gets the boot.

Kelly axed the 21 year S&C coach for LSU.

Hope he doesn’t come looking around these parts.

Venables sounds like the guy for Oklahoma. He’s going to have Lebby from Ole Miss be his OC.

I think that was the play the whole time. I'm guessing they were waiting until today, so they could try and get a call into Fick. I doubt Fick takes that call, but that was probably the thought.

Thats going to be a dynamic team with those two minds on staff. Dabo losing his AD and lead recruiter in one month...you have to wonder if he's trying to find his next stop now too.

I was told by a Clemson fan that Dabo is probably the next guy in after Saban. Kind of like the Luck Fickell/OSU situation. Any truth to that?

If this is the beginning of the end for Clemson? Could this season, and the fall of Clemson be the beginning of the end for the ACC? Maybe it's better UC wasn't invited to the ACC? Big12 is on the upswing. Pac12 is on the upswing. ACC could be the weakest P5 conference for a few years.

As long as the mouse is invested in you, you have life. They'll be back. It might not be Clemson, but someone will take the torch.

Cristobal has a sick mother in Miami, and I believe he is from there. Makes all the sense in the world to me.

Going home and frankly, that area of Oregon takes a certain personality to not feel that you are living in the bizarro universe politically. I like to visit but couldn’t live there unless I was out in the sticks.

Makes perfect sense to me since he is from Miami and he played for the U.

I reckon that depends on your politics. That said, I believe cristobal is Cuban and if his politics are like other cubans from Miami, he would definitely be a fish out of water out that way.

Well, he played and coached at Bama...so it would make sense. Who knows when Saban goes though.

I'm watching Saban on the CFP selection show right now. He's as sharp as ever at 70 and looks great for his age. With the infrastructure he has in place at Alabama, he could coach well into his 80's if he wants to. I don't see him slipping late in his career like Paterno and Bowden did.

Still our coach...cut from a different cloth. Building a program. Building a national power for the B12. Not too shabby.

Can we relax now? Or, are some of you still wringing your hands over NFL teams calling our coach? Please stop. There's only so many rocks to look under. Enjoy Luke as our head football coach for the rest of his ten year plan and hopefully beyond.
