People have been saying he's a lock for weeks... even before he went on his late visits.

Anyone who has spent any time paying attention to recruits and still calls anyone a "lock" are just asking to be proven wrong.

I BELIEVE Bates is going to choose us.

I havent commented on Bates, but if you have looked at his "history" his family have made every decision up to this point based on dollars, even when it hurt his overall brand and development. His development took a hit this past year with the stupid school thing and then his ridiculous AAU team. Once again, they went for the dollars and not what was best for Bates overall. I dont expect that to change. Whomever offers the family the most dollar bills is going to have Bates.

I don’t disagree with any of this.

To those who are saying that this will be based on NIL alone or the parents are controlling the recruitment --- Jeff Goodman said his experience was that the family is leaving it up to Emoni. The parents are there for him but what sways his decision is solely up to him.

I think late registration is Wednesday. Plus Bates will probably be in college only one year and then G League.... Or two years max... So really doesn't matter when he starts classes

of course it matters when classes begin. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a start and end date. I don't work for the administration department, but at some date he is not eligible to register.

Unless he can get a University of Memphis presidential exception.

So he has applied and been accepted but has yet to dole out money to enroll in classes. I could be wrong but this has the look and feel still weighing options. Pro or college.

Possible and highly probable.

Ike will be on the street at 2.15 this afternoon, he'll be at the Peabody for a couple of adult beverages and then spend some time on Beale street, around 4.00 pm Ike will head back to the Peabody and secure a decent seat
