Wrong. While there is boom and bust crypto out there....just like stocks there is also sustainable companies building technology on the blockchain that is changing the world. It's a 2 trillion $ industry....more than just early investors are making money. It will have more regulation and coins will come and go but it's not going away. Crypto that has utility and scarcity will lead the way.

It’s amazing to me that people refuse to even look in to it. Oh well. They will all be using crypto by 2030 so it won’t matter whether they invest or not.

What are tomorrow's Lotto numbers? Nobody should be that confident, especially with something as volatile as what we are discussing here. It's insane that people think this technology is the gospel truth.

People buying into AOL in the 90s thought the same thing. John DeLorean thought he was on the cusp of greatness.

I see a lot of hubris in this thread.

AOL? That’s like comparing the stock market to Tesla. There are thousands of coins. If you want a fair comparison, compare crypto to the internet or automobiles. It’s an entirely new market.

In terms of technology... you are comparing AOL to the internet. The internet is the technology and platform, AOL is the company.

Blockchain is the technology and platform... the coins we are buying is the same as stock in a company. There will be winners and losers as far as the companies go, but there’s not a question at all in terms of the technology being the future.

Only Coinbase now. I started out with Binance.US and Exodus but had too many issues. Never had an issue with Coinbase for deposits or withdrawals.

Can you tell me more about BAT and Mana. I see the descriptions but just wondering why you are big on them.

I’m probably going to invest in BAT. It has a lot of room to run just to get back to the pre-may value.

Mana dropped before the May crash and doesn’t appear to have a limit on volume of coins? I don’t know anything about that niche either.

Thanks a lot!

Sounds like you are another candidate for Voyager. I've researched them all and that's where I trust my money. I'll only trust a public company so that limits it to Coinbase or Voyager.

RE: OT: Crypto Currency
I highly recommend Binance US and Gemini (not the app because the app charges more in fees per trade).

Binance US charges 0.075% for entry level VIP 0 Active Traders per trade while Gemini through the website charges 0.35%. I dabble in Coinbase for the rewards, but their fees are higher. I like Crypto.com's interface for tracking rises and falls in cryptocurrencies, but because they are based in Hong Kong, US investors have to use the ap, and that charges exchange ratio fees from crypto to US Dollar Coin to a different Crypto when you trade.

My favorites cryptos are VeThor (VTO), Cryptex Finance (CTX), REN, AMP, ANKR Network, and Ravencoin (RVN), but I'm constantly moving money, and yes, it is profitable.

Ask the recipients of of the India CoVID Relief Fund, who received proceeds of over 50 Trillion Shiba Inu coins from Ethereum creator, Vitalik Buterin (world's youngest billionaire and he's only 28). As of today, $20 Million has been cashed out of the $1 Billion the coins were worth.

Decentraland virtual world that is fueled by MANA crypto I invested back in May before the crash. I did do okay with it, but I'm skeptical of virtual real estate and it's practical applications. If you've seen the movie Ready Player One, Decentraland is very much like The Oasis.

Basic Attention Token (BAT) is another one I invested in a couple of times before the May crashes. It has greater practical applications, and it would be okay for a long-term investment. But if I was going really long-term, I'd put more money into Ethereum (ETH) or Litecoin (LTC) because those two, like Bitcoin, are only going to increase in value over the course of years.[/i]

I love crypto.com as well and actually bought their coin CRO as they are spending a bunch on advertising and such. I’m waiting to get verified on binance.us and have heard it’s the best place for alt coins.

I also use Uphold as that’s the only exchange I have found where US customers can purchase Ripple (XRP), which I think can explode IF the court stuff gets settled soon, which I think it will.

I’m more of a long term investor right now. Hope to start DCA and stuff in another month or so, I’ve also been told binance is the best for that.

Mana goes along with Decentraland. If I had to describe it would say it is a sandbox VR space where people can buy "land" to build things to promote(sell) all kind of stuff. Go to play.decentraland.org and run around check it out. Atari built a casino in there, DJs will have concerts and all kind of other nerd ****. Still has a long way to go but it is pretty interesting what they are trying to do. Got it around .09 and jumped up to 1.60 at one point but is hovering around .70-.80 now days.

BAT goes with Brave browser who is trying to compete with Google. Getting rid of cookies and focusing on privacy. Same thing there they had a quick rise and have dropped some but been pretty stable lately.

Like I said earlier I made some quick money and now just holding on to these 3 as I think they could actually go somewhere in the long term. (Not finacial advice) 04-cheers

Yeah. That’s why I’m scared of the Mana. Wonder if virtual real estate is more of a fad but who knows.

Are worried about ADA taking customers from ETH once the Alonzo Hardfork happens mid Sept? That’s what I’ve been wondering and it has kept me from investing more in to ETH. I like LTC and think it might be ready to run more than the others.

Honestly, in the long run I’m not sure we can go wrong with any of the ones that serve a practical use, especially if they have a limited supply.

It took me 4 weeks to get verified on Binance US. I think much of the reasons for that is because they want only serious investors, and it's a test of patience. They have an extensive list of cryptos to invest in too. Not as much as Crypto, com, but still good.

That's what attracted me to ada. The much lower energy costs.

What I like about raven is the open-source nature if their group. They have good tweets too.

It took me 4 weeks to get verified on Binance US. I think much of the reasons for that is because they want only serious investors, and it's a test of patience. They have an extensive list of cryptos to invest in too. Not as much as Crypto, com, but still good.
Really? It took me like 15 minutes and I was buying. How long ago did you sign up? I did like 3 weeks ago.

I signed up back in March around the time of the DOGE craze. People were signing up just to profit off of Dogecoin's hype after Elon Musk touted the meme coin on Twitter.

RE: OT: Crypto Currency
I’ve been waiting on binance to verify me for two days now. No idea what’s going on.

RE: OT: Crypto Currency
As for ADA. I have around 1,200 coins. I’m going to ride the wave up until around Sept 12th then sell off to collect profits and possibly buy back in on the dip. I just hope it gets up to around $4 before Sept 12th... after that I think long term it can climb up to around $15-20 over the next year or so.

VeChain is what I’m thinking about dumping $4-5k in to and riding next.

RE: OT: Crypto Currency
Blockchain technology is beautiful. It is so appealing that companies are seeking other ways to use it. That does not justify crypto currency.

One reason to be watchful. The U.S. Government has used depreciation of the dollar as a way of reducing its debt. It works like a tax on everybody. If the government cannot find a way to depreciate crypto currency, it will kill it. The government has long passed the point where it could pay its debt. When it quits borrowing more money the economy will crash. There is no other way to resolve its debt which is increasing rapidly.

My future is in precious metals.
