RE: Tiffany Tucker
Sounds like she has put in a lot of work over the past 2 and half years.

Best of luck to her in this new role

She is a super hard worker with a very strong resume. Plus, how can we go wrong with someone who coached at our second favorite college. Claflin.

RE: Tiffany Tucker
I don't know anything about her and it's hard to know much about after reading such a brief release. But, as I was reading her resume, I thought of PBD. That is a lofty comparison, but she has experience as a player and coach and is working her way up within UNCW.

Where does this put her within the athletic dept? Is she Bass' right hand? Knowing he'll retire at some point (likely within 5 years or so), I'm wondering who our internal candidates are.

She's very capable, very personable and really smart. I doubt Bass stays on five years, so IMO this move places her as the heir to job when he does retire.

RE: Tiffany Tucker
My initial thought was they are positioning her to take over for Bass. If this is so we are screwed. She certainly sounds like she has accomplished things as an administrator. However we need someone who has demonstrated they can run an Athletic Department as a business like everyone else is doing. WE NEED MONEY. WE NEED SOMENONE WHO CAN RAISE MONEY> WE NEED FACILITIES. There is zero indication she can do this.

Might be a time to hire someone from outside the department if you want change. It's been on cruise control for years with little to no progress in the facilities at UNCW . Baseball has the Johnson building but the stadium needs a 100% overall -starting with a scoreboard that actually works .

I looked at her twitter account. Saw she felt the need to identify her 'preferred personal pronouns' ("She/Her"). Didn't see any thoughts expressed or activities highlighted that struck me as particularly entrepreneurial in nature.

I hope I'm wrong....

RE: Tiffany Tucker
Athletic Departments need a good balance of strengths. If she is a strong respected administrator that is a good balance with a good fund raiser. I wish we would get someone who sees the tremendous potential we have to have elite athletics at our level and put in the work to make it happen
