Carter got a little bit of FaceTime on this week’s episode and the Nooch got a lot as the storyline focused on those who would be getting cut. Same formula for Hard Knocks that gives some personal interest angles and then shows the cut meetings. That will be on next week’s episode. The camera caught several Nooch F bombs including the self criticism “Ben, you have to be effing better than that”

I see Carter got picked up by the Cardinals practice squad for a premium price so he looks like he is much closer to getting a shot as injuries and COVID quarantines occur this year.
The Cowboys kept the Nooch on the practice squad , but the stars will have to align for him to be called up to the big boy team. Without Dak and Dalton both going down to injuries last year he wouldn’t have gotten his chance.

Not a bad gig though on the practice squad. Sling the ball around without any pressure and go off script to run out of the pocket if he wants to show his defining skill.
Plus the Cowboys get pampered like no other NFL players at the Star in Frisco. Jerry Jones spares no expense.

we'll see an innovative NFL coach soon who puts 2 QB's on the field at the same time, all the time. One QB who is a lethal passer which is required to win in the NFL and one QB who can pass well enough, but also run like a stud RB. Put that 2nd QB in a wing back alignment and you have options galore to shred a defense.

Imagine Tom Brady taking the snap with Lamar Jackson going in motion on a jet sweep. You could fake it to him and move the defense or hand it off and still have the option to run or pass on the edge. D-coordinators would not sleep well.

Bal and NO have both done this recently........interesting but seems like a good way to lose a QB to injury?

Very happy Ben has at least landed on the Cowboy's practice squad. He's working hard, and has the ability and physical size to make an active roster. Ben may surprise people yet and have a relatively long NFL career of 5+ years (most likely as a backup). As a JMU Duke I wish him well.

Saddened Jimmy was cut, but the injury (if minor) may only mean he switches jersey number/colors and NFL teams. Hopefully more positive news will reveal itself soon about his pro career.
