Below is a link to the 2003 football schedule. The first game should be a good one against Cali. It would be great for CUSA to beat a PAC 10 program. MSU played Oregon and got beat like a cheap steak. However, we can do better than the probation filled program. Why cant OM play tough out of conference opponents. Heck, they dropped Troy St. from last yrs schedule. What a joke!!!

03-confused Why won't MSU and Ole Miss play you guys? Seems like it could be a good gate for both athletic depts. Good luck this year, you've got a great program and a coach that seems to know the TRUE meaning of loyalty. GO CATS!! 04-cheers

I have no idea why State and OM will not play us, Catamount Cooter. Thanks for the post also. You are welcome on the Southern Miss board anytime. The Catamount is a mascot for a school in Carolina, right. I cannot remember if it is Coastal Carolina or Western Carolina. Themain reason is that both schools now realize that we are a legitimate threat. We have one of the highest ranked defenses in the nation, a good coach and recruit legally. Southern Miss beat OM the last five out of seven times. The biggest comeback they have is that what do they have to prove? Well, to start it would be a game against an in-state rival, which means more tickets being sold; which in turn generates the local economy. However, you never explain anything to the OM clowns.

Nothing changes with USM's schedule every year. I can tell you before the season starts what your record will be. You will get the crap beat out of you by Cal, Nebraska, & Alabama and beat the creampuffs from your candyass conference. You will end up with a 9-3 record and go to some bowl in south Alabama. Never changes - Conf. USA sucks!!!

They want the Rebels to play in their miniscule stadium that seats only 33,000. We offered to play them in the biggest football stadium in the state of Mississippi at Ole Miss, but they refused.

Enough said on the subject.
