Not a coincidence they will take orders and not care who the orders say kill. Maybe its time to start shooting before the oligarchs have one of these on every corner after they defund the police.
there’s a Star Trek - next gen episode about that one (will fk’d up, but saved the day in the end … or go matrix with the trans schema - or go terminator - or etc…
I’ve stated my entire cognizant life, the human race as we understand it, will be unrecognizable as the Bible continues into obsolescence …
the boomers and x’rs hit the the lottery in the final undeveloped land mass on the third rock…
UBI will eventually become necessary since there will be robots in almost all industries, doing all the mundane jobs - stocking shelves, packing boxes, loading trucks/aircraft, janitorial duties, flipping burgers, wait staff, most physical labor chores, lawn care, etc. Drones will replace most human security.

The military already has both of course.
lawn care .... not a chance during my lifetime in the scope I deal with....
illegals are easily more cost effective based on any metric....
robots are great when the parameters are mostly static ... begin introducing variables?!
it then becomes putting one's cods in a vice knowing the result will end in 'rupture' ...
there's no doubt how tech/algorithms will improve over time .... but lawn care?! good luck with that ... terrain + ever shifting human motion/interaction is unsolvable in too many scenarios.... start up cost + maintenance?! no fk'n way, jose - roi would be 2 decades min....

Quote:The United States is testing quadrupedal robot dogs on its southern border to assist US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) because the territory is vast and monitoring it is critical for the nation’s security.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that it can help CBP personnel improve their capabilities while also increasing their safety downrange.
“The southern border can be an inhospitable place for man and beast, and that is exactly why a machine may excel there,” the Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate programme manager, Brenda Long, said in a statement.
“This S&T-led initiative focuses on Automated Ground Surveillance Vehicles, or what we call ‘AGSVs’. Essentially, the AGSV programme is all about robot dogs,” Long added.
The American southwest is a region that combines a harsh landscape, temperature extremes, and a variety of other non-environmental threats that can pose dangerous challenges to border patrol agents.
The program’s goal is to use technology to force-multiply CBP presence while also reducing human exposure to life-threatening hazards.
With a thorough understanding of CBP’s technology requirements in the field, the Directorate, as the DHS’s research and development arm, is constantly identifying solutions to support the complex CBP mission.
S&T, for example, is currently supplementing CBP’s bipedal human personnel with quadruped mechanical reinforcements to assist the agency in better allocating resources.
