Where will your field hockey program end up after your move to the Sunbelt?

Assuming the Sun Belt move happens? Probably with ODU, which I think is in the Big East. That way they can continue the SBC rivalry.

Field Hockey wins 2-1 in an absolutely thrilling victory with 41 seconds remaining in the 2nd OT!

On to the finals.

MSOC loses 2-1 to Northeastern in the regular season finale. The Dukes finish third in the CAA but won't be taking part in the CAA tournament... not sure how bad of a loss this will turn out to be as far as our at-large NCAA chances...

Men’s Soccer: Reigning CAA Champs, coming in ranked #19 nationally with a young team Thai has received good experience in the spring. However, we lose TJ Bush, a phenomenal keeper, as well as defender Tom Judge who were both All-Americans. They kick off the season hosting #1 Marshall on 8/26 in the Burg.
So JMU soccer ends up getting shafted from the tournament and title at the last minute. Ended up 11-5-1, losing to #1 Marshall and the other 4 games by 1 goal each, and hoping for an at-large bid which never came. Yet Akron 9-5-3 who finished 6th in a 7 team conference did get a bid. Thanks again to the CAA for shafting these kids.05-mafia

Seems like this will not change.

Hopefully Men's basketball can get the NIT autobid, but I'll bet some way the CAA would not let it happen even if we won the regular season.

If this team wins the regular season CAA Title I think JMU and it's fans should campaign the NIT hard for consideration.

While I agree - and think it *should* happen if we have the best regular season record, also holding out slim hopes for an NCAA at large.

I know it hasn't happened for the CAA recently, but I also think this team is better than most realize right now. If they can win all but a few games, play respectably against UVA, and have a good SOS/RPI, *maybe* they can still sneak into the NCAA tourney. Lefty came close to getting an at-large for JMU once or twice.

Pretty exciting given they’re not UVA, Indiana, UCLA, etc. MU really raised the bar when it came to compensating their head coach to the level of the elite programs previously mentioned. Everyone loves a winner!

Marshall is out of the Men's Soccer Tournament

Hofstra has won their first two games, including destroying Penn State 8-2. They were up 8-0

Future/rumored SBC Soccer conference mates UK and WVU are in the final 16. SBC soccer will be a "power" conf if this happens as expected.
