Have been told that viewership for the UNCW - Northeastern hockey contests is, literally, off the charts. Am certain neither NESN nor FLO Sports would wish to see this rivalry disappear.

You mean NESN, that channel that is behind a pay wall for a lot of people? I grew up in Western mass, and you didn't get NESN on basic cable. And yes, we were around both Fenway and back bay, Seaport, North End, Chinatown, Financial district. I was just pointing out that i saw stuff everywhere for the other schools and nodda for NU. Honestly didn't even think about it until i read this thread. I'm well aware that BC hasn't been good in quite some time, but that's not what this discussion is about.

I've been to Fenway many times in the past before they priced the regular guy out of the market. It's a pretty cool deal the first time and after that not so much,the place is a dump that smells like urine-not to mention it cost more than Yankee Stadium and is loaded with drunks. I have never seen anything related to NU there or any other place in Boston. I also went to a basketball game at NU in the hockey rink there with about 250 other people wrapped up like Eskimos. Nobody cares about BC there and most people there have no clue that NU plays sports at all.

Just the facts brother-tell me it's not true. Fenway is a cute little spot for one game and NU basketball arena is a hockey building and literally no fans other than parents and a few hard cores. NU has the best basketball coach in the CAA and the best program-IMO.

My guess is to meet the quota it was an either/or scenario

Give Flo the 2 CAA semis or give them the 2 best non conference games.

I actually think there is a bit of justification for the decision as you would hate for a major upset to be on Flo
