Trade makes sense to me.
Maybe we have a trade upcoming for Bledsoe. We could have cleared his spot for 4 million bucks.
Grayson Allen is definitely trending upwards so I don't like our return on this trade.
We have now traded away two of our main rotation guys for what in return exactly?

In short, the Grizzlies weren’t going to pay Allen for what he did in the past if he isn’t going to be doing it in the future.
#1-How does anyone know what somebody is not going to do in the future?
#2-I thought the NBA was all about potential
#1 Nobody knows for sure how players will pan out in the future, but Grayson Allen has gotten better every season and was for and away our best 3pt shooter. It is not a stretch to stay he is trending upwards, the reigning champions apparently think so.
#2 THE NBA is not ALL about potential. The Grizz have taken a step back, trading away two of their best position players for slaw.
Hopefully our young players pan out, I've liked their summer league outings, but there's a big difference between summer league and a playoff stretch run.
Its not really so much that we traded these guys away, its that we didnt maximize our return, and that is just my opinion. Maybe we got the steals of the draft, who knows...time will tell.
I like our front office but everything they do is not going to turn to gold. I like Adams and think the Memphis fans will love him but I doubt we ever see Bledsoe on the court. Hopefully we got a nice pick next season in exchange for Val, and these two this year become valuable contributers.
I still like our core of Ja, Dillon and JJJ but we gave up a lot to gamble on potential.
