Aha, it's a trick question:

None of the above. Kansas sucks in football, and they are in a small market. Big 10 are gunning for UNC, virginia, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Florida State if they expand. They want larger tv markets and better football teams.

The Kansas statement is not true. There are no good fits for the B1G, even long term.

But the statement about Michigan is definitely true, especially if Ohio State is included in the SEC(In fact, it would be much more preferable if Ohio State is offered/inquires first). It would criminally negligent if both weren't exploring already.

I answered only to help his poll, but what do you do when neither is a good option?

RE: One of these statements is true.
Kansas could fit into the Big Ten. That doesn't mean that the Big Ten should/will invite them or would make them more money, but they're an institutional and cultural fit on paper.

I'm not sure what the OP is getting out of posting on nearly every thread about how Big Ten schools are going to start defecting to the SEC, but it's getting tiresome. The OP clearly doesn't understand that the University of Michigan is the single snobbiest public university in the country when it comes to academics and they're *loud" about it because they in their heart-of-hearts believe that they're peers to Harvard and Stanford but the general public doesn't see it that way.

Michigan is the school that would be screaming at Big Ten meetings to not invite a school like Oklahoma due to not being an AAU member. They care about who they associate with academically so much that they were one of the deciding votes to kick Nebraska out of the AAU even *after* NU joined the Big Ten. I don't believe one iota that Ohio State would leave the Big Ten in a million years, either, but you could at least argue that they'd be making institutional decisions on more of a football focus. That's not Michigan - it's a totally different mindset there. They honestly believe that Harvard is the "Michigan of the East" - they look at themselves as competing with the Ivy League just as much as anything football-wise. That's how they're getting nearly half of their students paying as much as an Ivy League school (over $70,000 COA per year) for out-of-state tuition with a disproportionate number of coming from the New York City area. Notre Dame and USC would honestly fit into the SEC better than Michigan.

One of these statements is true - Kansas would be a good fit in the B1G.

But if they don’t increase value, it doesn’t matter.

RE: One of these statements is true.
I went with the one that was more probable
(Michigan leaving for the SEC if offered.) That being said, there is a <2% chance of either happening in the short to mid term.
