Frigging troll.

Do you not know what the "Zero Tolerance" Policy was?

The Trump administration separated children from adults at the border.

All children. Not just the one's who were sent with someone that they weren't related to.

Sir please get your facts straight.

Obama had a "catch and release" policy.

Trump had the "zero tolerance" policy.

This is all common knowledge.

Now I know you are just a troll because you don't even know basic politics.

RE: Biden*s Migrant Crisis Just Keeps Getting Worse and Worse
Here’s What Migrants Say About Why They’re Coming To The US Now

Quote:MCALLEN, Texas — Some migrants who spoke to the DCNF said they were motivated to come to the U.S. by the Biden administration, while others cited death threats from “narcos” and disaster in their home countries.

“Suddenly, the situations during the previous years weren’t like this one. This year was much more difficult,” a Honduran migrant named Javier told the DCNF after illegally crossing into the U.S. near the Hidalgo Point of Entry early Tuesday morning.

Javier said increasing “crime and a lot of insecurity” including “extortions and death threats from the cartels” motivated him to leave Honduras. He said it took him a little over a month to reach the U.S.

“The truth is, what motivated us to leave was the lack of safety and the economy was also very bad,” Javier told the DCNF. He added that he wasn’t motivated by President Joe Biden’s election, but is “looking for more safety for our kids. We want the best for our kids.”

Another Honduran man traveling with Javier’s group said the Biden administration did not motivate him “at all.”

More than four million people were hit by two hurricanes in Honduras in the fall of 2020, and thousands of people were unable to return home as of June, The New York Times reported. The hurricanes resulted in at least $1.9 billion in damages, according to NBC News.

“I lost my house due to the hurricane in Honduras, and well, I’m a single mother. I can’t give my son what he needs in my country,” a Honduran woman told the DCNF on Saturday after illegally entering the U.S. near La Joya, Texas, she declined to give her name for fear of retribution from gangs. “I worked in politics, and well, my party lost and I had problems, lots of problems.”

“Then, in the community where I live there was Mara 18,” she said.

Mara 18 is another name for the 18th Street Gang or MS-18, the violent criminal organization formed in California in the 1980s after young men fleeing the El Salvadoran Civil War were targeted by other gangs, according to the Terrorism Research & Analysis Consortium.

“I wanted to start a business, and unfortunately, there were extortions and they came to my house, so I decided to come to the United States to give a better life to my son and my dad,” the woman said.

“The crime is horrible, you can’t even go out to work. All the places are marked,” a woman from El Salvador told the DCNF shortly after illegally entering the U.S. near La Joya, Texas, on Friday night. “You go into one place and you can’t go into another because you don’t come out alive.”

A male traveling with the group said it took them around 15 days to reach the U.S.

Some migrants who spoke to the DCNF shortly after illegally entering the U.S. near La Joya, Texas, on Saturday night said they have a “very good” impression of American politics and that the Biden administration “helps the migrants.” One person described Biden as the “best [president] there’s ever been.”

One man from Honduras said they decided to come now “because last year there was a president that was, like, racist and didn’t like the Latinos and this president is neutral and wants everyone.”

The group, all traveling from Honduras, told the DCNF they plan on voting in U.S. elections if they get the chance. Another man from Honduras said he didn’t think the Biden administration invited migrants to come now but sent a message that “that they would have the opportunity to work and study.”

An Ecuadorian man said he was mainly motivated by death threats from narcos, who he said “will find you in the nursery” or daycare where you leave your children. He was partly motivated by the change in administration, though he didn’t give a specific reason why.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials rerecorded a record high of 213,000 encounters with migrants at the southern border in July, according to the agency. The month of July saw record numbers of unaccompanied children totaling more than 18,900 and just under 83,000 family units.

“Many people are coming due to necessity, but not all of them. Lots of people are seeing that it’s easier to cross,” Luis Montesino, 60, of McAllen, Texas, told the DCNF Saturday morning while waiting to pick up a friend from the temporary shelter holding COVID-19 positive migrants in Mission, Texas. “Many people are hearing that the border is open so they’re taking advantage to come here. And they’re doing it. It’s happening due to the number of people per day.”

In terms of politics in this situation, I think Trump was very strict, very hard. He was completely different,” Montesino added. “President Biden is more flexible, he’s giving more opportunities.”

Of the migrants encountered in July, over 80,000 were apprehended in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley, where La Joya and Hidalgo are located, according to CBP. Around 42,000 of the total number of migrants encountered in July were from Honduras and about 12,000 were from El Salvador.

‘It’s Everywhere’: Migrants Say They’re Not Responsible For Spreading COVID-19

Quote:MCALLEN, Texas — Several illegal migrants told the Daily Caller News Foundation that they aren’t responsible for spreading COVID-19 in America.

Migrants who illegally crossed into the U.S. near the Hidalgo Point of Entry on Aug. 10 in a group of about 20 people said they weren’t worried about catching COVID-19 at any point in the journey to their final destinations in America.

“Everywhere people are getting infected,” a vaccinated man from Ecuador told the DCNF after illegally entering the U.S. near the same location on Aug. 7. “It’s honestly not that the migrants are bringing the virus. It’s everywhere.”

“The people here in this country that aren’t vaccinated are also getting sick,” he added.

A smaller group of around eight migrants who illegally entered the U.S. near La Joya, Texas, on Aug. 7, all wearing face masks said they were unable to get vaccinated before leaving Honduras. Around 14% of Hondurans have been vaccinated and the country is reporting about 1,500 new cases daily, according to Reuters.

“I didn’t have a chance [to get vaccinated], there weren’t any [vaccines],” a woman from El Salvador told the DCNF after illegally entering the U.S. in the same location on Aug. 6. A man traveling with the group of around 15 said “there weren’t any [vaccines] when we left.” Nearly 40% of the population in Honduras has been vaccinated, Reuters reported.

Hundreds of migrants who entered the U.S. illegally were eventually released from federal custody in downtown McAllen, Texas, and tested for COVID-19 by a company partnering with Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, the DCNF reported. Around 1,500 migrants who tested positive for COVID-19 were released in the city around Aug. 4, causing city officials to issue a disaster declaration.

If a migrant tests positive for the virus, they’re transported to a temporary tent facility set up at Anzalduas Park in Mission, Texas, where hundreds gathered around the pavilion and makeshift structures, the DCNF reported. Law enforcement officials prevented friends and family from picking up the migrants and they weren’t told the people held in the park had tested positive for COVID-19.

Over 18% of migrant families and around 20% of unaccompanied children tested positive for COVID-19 after they were released from federal custody, NBC News reported Aug. 7. More than 15,000 migrants were in federal custody at the time, though they’re not tested by Border Patrol officials unless they show symptoms.

An increase in the number of cases is “straining the capacity of the NGOs and local governments that DHS currently partners with to care for them,” according to a Department of Homeland Security document obtained by NBC News. The document reportedly said the delta variant and overcrowding in federal facilities are driving the increase in cases.

Republican governors in Texas and Florida have said illegal migrants are responsible for spreading the delta variant in the U.S., NBC News reported. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order limiting the transportation of migrants further north into the state in an effort to stop the spread of the virus.

It seems it might be helpful to put a moratorium on all immigration for a decade or so. We need to focus on getting our own house in order.

Trump's wall should be sufficient. Once all the immigrants that were stuck in Mexico are process, things should get back to normal.

If we really want to alleviate the problem, we should divert all the billions we spend on Afghanistan to Latin America.

Biden DHS Jets Central Americans Deep into Mexico to Ease Border Overcrowding

Quote:The Biden Administration is using Immigration and Customs Enforcement Air Operations to fly Central American migrants deep into Mexico under the CDC emergency Title 42 authority. Migrants are then bused to the Guatemalan border for repatriation into several small villages. The practice, meant to ease overcrowding at Border Patrol facilities and reduce repeat crossings, is a departure from the previous administration’s Title 42 expulsion carried out only at the U.S.-Mexico Border.

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says the expulsions are designed to discourage migrants from immediately re-entering by flying them deep into Mexico, rather than border cities. Under the Trump administration, Title 42 was exercised in a manner to provide the most immediate deterrent to the virus, not re-entry.

During a recent press conference in Brownsville, Texas, Mayorkas said, “we are working with Mexico to ensure that the individuals who are subject to the expulsion flights, their needs are addressed. We have a responsibility under the public health authority of the Centers for Disease Control to protect the American public.”

Four flights were carried out last week on Thursday and Friday from McAllen, Texas, to Tapachula, Chiapas, in southern Mexico. Tapachula sits along the banks of the Suchiate River and serves as Mexico’s southern boundary with Guatemala. The flights mark the first time the United States has flown Central Americans into the interior of Mexico. The flights are transporting mostly family units apprehended in the Texas border region.

According to a CBP source, under the previous administration’s interpretation and implementation of the CDC authority, Central American migrants were immediately returned to Mexico and not held in any formal detention setting. The migrants were processed in an outdoor area and expelled immediately to minimize COVID-19 cases coming into the United States.

The source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, says the expulsions historically were conducted within two hours of the migrant’s illegal entry. The order was not applied to any migrants other than those apprehended at entry and near the immediate border region.

Despite longer detention times needed to arrange and manifest the flights to Mexico, migrants are not allowed to present a claim for asylum, drawing criticism from some migrant rights groups. Asylum Access, a global human rights organization, condemns the new practice.

These expulsions from McAllen to Mexico’s interior, although intended as an offshoot of the emergency CDC authority, lack no formal written agreement between the United States, Mexico, and Guatemala.

A request for information from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has not been received as of press time.

A U.S. State Department spokesperson told Breitbart Texas, “The United States and Mexico share an interest in sustainable solutions to reduce irregular migration and forced displacement in, from, and through the region.”

It is unknown if any additional flights will take place and if so, the frequency.

Since when does the CDC have authority in another country. This whole administration is illegal and illegitimate.

Border Patrol Morale Collapses Amid Ongoing Migrant Crisis: ‘Almost Dead Inside’

Quote:Morale among the nation’s frontline border security agency has collapsed amid President Joe Biden’s immigration policies that critics have blamed for the current crush of hundreds of thousands of migrants crossing illegally into the U.S. since he took office in January.

In a report published Sunday, the Washington Examiner noted that on a recent day, just a dozen Border Patrol agents were on duty along a 245-mile stretch of the U.S. border with Mexico surrounding Del Rio, Texas, “the lowest-ever number of agents on duty in the area, even as more migrants illegally cross here now than ever before.”

The outlet went on to note that due to the recent surges of hundreds of thousands of migrants, agents have come under extreme pressure which is taking its toll and keeping them from performing their national security mission.

According to agents who spoke to the outlet, the lack of personnel and the inability to deal with the crush of migrants as they were trained to do has been physically draining, leaving them struggling to see beyond the current crisis.

“Morale is in the toilet,” Jon Anfinsen, a spokesman for the Border Patrol’s union, told the outlet.

“Morale is low because agents aren’t allowed to do their job — if our job is to be out patrolling the border in between the ports of entry and actively searching for people who have crossed illegally, but we’re not allowed to go do that job, it basically creates this defeated feeling in everyone,” Anfinsen continued.

“Morale is tanking fast. This can be seen in the simple statements made by agents, but even more importantly, it can be seen in increasing processing times,” a former senior official at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which oversees the Border Patrol, in an email

“Agents are just flat tired, and we are seeing and hearing it.”

While the current migrant crisis isn’t the first one seen by agents, they are nevertheless “burned out and there’s really no end in sight,” Anfinsen said.

“Agents are primarily indoors, processing, and we’re dealing with the people who are flagging us down — the ones who are walking up to us and turning themselves in,” said Anfinsen, the president of the National Border Patrol Council’s Del Rio chapter.

“Meanwhile, the immigrants who don’t want anything to do with us, they’re running away, although sometimes they’re walking because they have no need to run because we’re not there,” he continued.

“Everyone shows up to work sort of downtrodden, almost dead inside, for lack of a better term,” Anfinsen added. “They’re not allowed to [do] the job, and they know that people are getting away every single day, every hour.”

One agent who works for CBP’s Air and Marine Operations arm in Texas said it’s not hard to spot illegal aliens crossing into the U.S. but added there aren’t agents to intercept them.

A fourth person who is purportedly a top CBP official told the Examiner he was “blown away” by what agents have been forced to handle.

“This is not being treated like a medical emergency,” a former agent told the Examiner in a phone call. “These guys feel abandoned by CBP and DHS and the administration. Nobody’s coming to rescue them.”

Border Officials Are So Overwhelmed They’re Struggling To Verify Whether Illegal Migrants Are Adults Or Minors

Quote:MCALLEN, Texas — Customs and Border Protection agents are so overwhelmed with the number of migrants arriving at the southern border they’re having a hard time verifying whether some illegal migrants are minors or adults, agents told the Daily Caller News Foundation on Tuesday.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials are supposed to conduct extensive interviews with migrants they suspect of lying about their age, a senior agent told the DCNF. The agents spoke to the DCNF on the condition of anonymity since they were not authorized to speak on the matter.

“In the past, our intelligence would interview these subjects until eventually getting them to admit they had falsely claimed to be minors. But now with the sheer volume of people coming in and people that we have to process and move, that part of the equation is just a hindrance and would create a bottleneck,” the senior CBP agent told the DCNF. “In other words, our processing machine has now switched gears to quantity over quality. Sad.”

“I don’t know what else there is to say about it. It [migrants claiming to be minors] happens all the time. They are being coached and playing the system,” the senior agent added. The agent said, “I honestly could not begin to tell you what happens” when asked about how agents proceed after encountering a migrant suspected of lying about their age.

Some migrants traveling in a group consisting of only men tried to avoid law enforcement officials after illegally entering the U.S. by running into tall brush and told Border Patrol agents they were 17 years old after they were apprehended near La Joya, Texas on Aug. 7. The migrants (pictured above) had deep wrinkles across their foreheads and a couple of their hairlines were receding or thinning.

Border Patrol officials collected biographical information and personal possessions from the group of men before directing them to sit in an area separate from the other migrants near a dumpster. (RELATED: Here’s What Migrants Say About Why They’re Coming To The US Now)

Another current CBP agent assigned to posts around McAllen, Texas, said they have encountered migrants suspected of lying about their age during “every shift.” They said with every 100 migrants they apprehend, agents suspect six or seven of them to falsely claim to be minors.

“We get it frequently, usually in about a group of 100 [migrants], we get about six or seven that claim to be minors when they are way over 17 years of age,” an active CBP agent told the DCNF. “It’s the fact that they are scared to be sent back, that’s why they lie.”

Cartels have started using minors to smuggle migrants across the border because they know they won’t be prosecuted in the U.S., the agent told the DCNF. Officials aren’t allowed to detain minors in Texas jails, a federal law enforcement official told the DCNF.

“Well, usually the smugglers are minors, those are the ones we always try to catch because they know the law can’t do anything to them,” the agent said. “That’s why they [smuggling organizations] use them to cross the groups.”

The agent said the number of migrants officials suspect of lying about their age depends on where they’re apprehended and how many people are in the group since a larger group usually means more migrants will claim to be minors. The agent added that officials are supposed to interview the migrants if they’re suspicious and that they collect biometrics including fingerprints from individuals.

“They usually don’t show any form of ID,” the agent told the DCNF. “But we question them until they tell the truth or if they don’t, we scan their fingerprints. Then it shows up that way and they can get processed accordingly.”

When migrants are formally taken into federal custody agents can access any personal information including criminal records, previous encounters, and sometimes their birthdates or home country, the agent said. “It all comes out with their prints and records when they get processed.”

The agent said some adult migrants who claim to be minors will “definitely” end up in Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) detention facilities with migrants kids if officials aren’t able to determine whether they’re telling the truth about their age.

“After looking into this, we can tell you Border Patrol agents collect biometric and biographic information when assessing the validity of migrants’ age utilizing a range of criteria and methods that are law enforcement sensitive,” a CBP spokesperson told the DCNF. “Suspected cases of adults fraudulently claiming to be a minor are referred to ICE Homeland Security Investigations for further investigation.”

Once unaccompanied migrant minors are apprehended, CBP officials work to transfer them to HHS facilities where they’re matched with sponsors in the interior of the U.S., the DCNF reported. Border officials encountered more than 212,000 migrants in July, including a record high of 18,960 unaccompanied migrant minors, according to the agency.

Some migrant kids were deprived of medical care, access to showers and clean clothes at the Fort Bliss facility near El Paso, Texas, the DCNF reported. The children were held in “filthy” living conditions and federal employees allegedly inappropriately touched and interacted with migrant kids at the facility.

Other children at Fort Bliss reported depression, said they were placed on suicide watch and were fed spoiled food, the DCNF reported. One girl said they were served hamburgers with “foul” smelling bread and “bloody and raw” chicken.

The Department of Homeland Security did not respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

RE: Biden*s Migrant Crisis Just Keeps Getting Worse and Worse
Criminal Migrants, Gang Members Apprehended by Border Patrol Up 265 Percent

Quote:As the number of economic migrants apprehended climbs daily, those with previous criminal convictions or affiliated with violent gangs follow the trend. In the current fiscal year, according to a source within CBP, nearly 9,000 criminal migrants have been arrested. The agency reports another 279 criminal gang members were caught during the same time period. These figures contrast against 2,438 criminal migrant arrests in 2020.

The term “criminal alien” is not used by Border Patrol to refer to migrants with only immigration violations. It is reserved for those with convictions for state and federal crimes like murder, rape, sexual assault, burglary, robbery, narcotics, and more.

The source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, says nearly 1,000 migrants had convictions for assault and battery; nearly 50 were convicted of homicide; nearly 400 were convicted of sexual offenses. The number of criminal migrant encounters has risen by nearly 50 percent since May.

Most of these individuals are returning to the United States illegally after deportations. Although they constitute a minority of the migrants encountered by the Border Patrol, criminal migrant and gang member encounters play out daily along the southwest border.

On Tuesday, Border Patrol agents in Eagle Pass, Texas, arrested a female migrant. After reviewing her criminal history, agents quickly discovered she was convicted of 3rd degree homicide in Pennsylvania. After serving a 15 to 30-year sentence, she was removed in 2019.

On Friday morning, agents in Hidalgo, Texas, arrested an Ecuadoran national shortly after he crossed the Rio Grande. The arresting agents discovered a previous arrest and conviction in New York for sexual abuse involving a victim under than 13 years of age.

Hours later, agents working near Los Ebanos, Texas, apprehended a group of nine. Among them was a Guatemalan whose criminal history revealed he previously served four years for a sex crime in Angleton, Texas, in 2011. The migrant is a registered sex offender.

During the week of August 22-28, seven suspected gang members were arrested in the Rio Grande Valley. Five were linked to the MS-13, one to the 18th Street gang, and another to the Sureño-13. The Sureño-13 member was found to have a previous conviction for kidnapping and domestic violence in Los Angeles, California. Of the 279 criminal gang members arrested by Border Patrol nationwide, more than 150 were caught crossing in the Rio Grande Valley.

With migrant apprehensions nearing an all-time high this fiscal year, the Border Patrol is struggling to carry out routine field operations while it provides humanitarian aid required by thousands of migrants in detention.

The Border Patrol has apprehended more than 1.2 million migrants since October 2020. Most are fleeing their countries for economic or political reasons. Less than 1% of all encounters involve those who meet the definition of criminal or are known to have gang affiliations.

Previously Deported Salvadoran Woman, A Convicted Killer, Arrested By Border Patrol In Texas

Quote:Eagle Pass, Texas – (CBP) – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to Eagle Pass South Station arrested an undocumented migrant with a previous conviction for criminal homicide, Aug. 26.

Agents encountered and arrested eight migrants shortly after they illegally entered the United States. The group was transferred to the Eagle Pass Centralized Processing Center.

Record checks revealed a woman who had been previously convicted of third-degree murder in Washington County, Pennsylvania, was among the group. Agents learned that Delmy Beatriz Escalante-Brizuela, 47, of El Salvador, was sentenced to 15 to 30 years imprisonment and was most recently deported from the United States in 2019.

As a convicted felon, she faces a charge of re-entry after deportation.
