Them there is millions of new democrat votes wondering across the border. AND THEY'RE ALREADY TRAINED PROFESSIONALS AT LIVING UNDER A COMMUNIST GOVERNMENT.

Texas: Hold 'Em!

Quote:The American Media, by and large, are feckless hypocrites. While focusing their COVID angst on Republican governors DeSantis and Abbott, they conveniently ignore the tidal wave of illegal immigrants flooding through our southern border. And as Mark illustrates, they are ignoring Biden's shell game designed to hide migrants around the nation while seeking to change the political makeup of the United States.

Migrants crossing border in New Mexico area instructed to take Ubers and Lyfts, local police helpless

Quote:Migrants crossing the border into one New Mexico town are sometimes instructed by smugglers to use popular ridesharing services Uber or Lyft when they reach the U.S.

"That’s probably an (Uber)," police officer E. Gallardo told a local KRQE reporter of a car that was going up and down an Encinos neighborhood street in Sunland Park, but quickly left the area when it spotted the police car. "Almost everyone carries a cell phone now," Gallardo, who is a veteran of the Las Cruces, and Sunland Park police departments, said of how migrants keep in touch with smugglers or rides.

Gallardo said that in Sunland Park, many migrants come down a mountain early in the morning and cross into the U.S., where smugglers sometimes instruct them to order an Uber or Lyft.

Uber told Fox News when approached for comment that the company has a law enforcement team that works with local police departments with investigations, and also partnered with various nonprofits to educate drivers on how to pick out and report potential human trafficking.

Lyft did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment on the matter.

Local police explained they don’t stop vehicles that pick up passengers along the border unless they see the driver speeding or a car carrying more occupants than it's built for.

The ride-along comes as migrants at the southern border continue crossing into the United States at high rates, with more than 188,000 migrant encounters at the southern border in June.

Police explained that Sunland Park has become a favorite spot for Juarez, Mexico-based smuggling organizations due to its nearby mountain that provides cover for migrants as they cross into the country.

"They hide in the brush, behind houses, under mobile homes … they’ll go to sleep and rest a bit and won’t come up for hours," Gallardo said of the migrants.

Officers in the town are often inundated with calls about migrants, but municipal police have their hands tied and must tread carefully due to state leaders not pushing to enforce immigration laws, according to the report.

"Ultimately, if I can see them on a private property, I can make a consensual stop. I gotta protect the dwelling and the safety of the residents," Gallardo said.

The immigration crisis has continued at the United States’s southern border, with many local leaders blaming the Biden administration and other Democratic leaders in Washington, D.C.

"People blame us sometimes, here in the municipality. We tell them it’s outside of our jurisdiction. You want to place blame? We know exactly where to do it, and that’s in Washington. And whether it be the president, Congress, the Senate, whatever it is, they’re the ones who can take care of it," McAllen Texas Mayor Javier Villalobos told Fox News on Thursday.

Villalobos added Friday that the city was at its "breaking point" and issued an emergency declaration to build a "tent city" for the migrants after the area received minimal help from the federal government.

"The Catholic charities just couldn’t handle it anymore," Villalobos told "America’s Newsroom." "We get a call, so we have to immediately act because we cannot—we shouldn’t and we cannot let the immigrants roam around our city—especially with a high COVID rate."

Another Texas mayor also sounded the alarm on the migration crisis Friday, saying there was "chaos."

"Something’s terribly wrong here," said Laredo Mayor Pete Saenz."It’s not orderly, there’s chaos, and obviously it’s creating this crisis that we’re facing here throughout the entire border area."

BRILLIANT! That deserves a 3, my friend. I wonder how loud the screaming would be by all the Demoncraptic administrations in those cities. Why hasn't anyone else thought of that? I wouldn't mind my taxes paying for that, at all.

Biden Admin Threatens To Prosecute Border Crossers Who Were Previously Deported

Quote:A high-ranking U.S. Border Patrol official said the Biden administration could federally prosecute border crossers who were previously deported.

Migrant adults attempting to illegally cross the border after being deported might face criminal prosecution, according to CBS News. The new potential charges are aimed at discouraging migrants from attempting repeat crossings after they’re expelled from the U.S.

“Any single adult who is apprehended along the Southwest border who has previously been apprehended and deported under Title 8 will be referred to prosecution,” said Manuel Padilla, chief of the U.S. Border Patrol’s operations directorate, on Friday.

“What we want to discourage is irregular migration,” Padilla added at the Spanish news conference, according to a translation independently confirmed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Border officials encountered nearly 190,000 migrants at the southern border in June, including around 117,000 single adults, according to Customs and Border Protection. The agency encountered a high of 121,000 single adult migrants in May.

The Biden administration previously concentrated its efforts on ending Trump-era policies, increasing access to asylum and processing unaccompanied migrant minors out of federal custody.

“We will always be a nation of borders, and we will enforce our immigration laws in a way that is fair and just,” the White House said in a statement July 27.

Increasing apprehensions and filling detention centers combined with the spread of COVID-19 variants led the Biden administration to implement measures that have previously been used to slow migration to the U.S., CBS News reported.

We've had a migrant crisis for decades. Something needs to be done about it.

Lawsuit Says Conditions Inside Biden Administration's Shelters for Migrant Teens Are 'Inherently Unsafe'

Quote:Following reports by Reason and other media outlets, and complaints from federal whistleblowers, lawyers representing minors in U.S. immigration custody say the Biden administration is housing migrant youths in "inherently unsafe and inappropriate" conditions.

In a motion filed Monday asking a federal court to order the release of migrant youths from two of the Biden administration's so-called emergency intake sites (EIS), lawyers for the National Center for Youth Law argue that the substandard living conditions inside the sites violate the terms of the 1997 Flores Settlement Agreement. That agreement binds the federal government to certain standards regarding the treatment of migrant children.

The main focus of the complaint is two emergency sites in Pecos, Texas, and inside the Fort Bliss Army base near El Paso, Texas. The Fort Bliss site is the largest in the network of emergency shelters the Biden administration set up earlier this year to move unaccompanied migrant children out of Customs and Border Protection detention centers.

In theory, these sites, run by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) are a way station for kids who are waiting to be reunited with relatives or other connections in the U.S. In fact, staffing problems and other issues left many kids stuck in limbo for up to a month or more in conditions that federal whistleblowers, lawyers, and the children themselves have described as filthy and chaotic.

"For months, the children we have met with at the EISs have shared one horror story after the next," Leecia Welch, senior director of child welfare and legal advocacy at the National Center for Youth Law, said in a press release. "Children have described spending the bulk of the day on or around their cots crammed in massive tents with hundreds of other children, suffering escalating anxiety attacks from the stress of the harsh EIS environment, going weeks without clean clothes or underwear, and spending months without going outside for some fresh air. While some of the unsafe EIS facilities have been closed, mega tent encampments and mining mancamp sites like Fort Bliss and Pecos remain open with no end in sight."

Accompanying the motion are more than a dozen declarations from youths being held in the EIS system. In one declaration, a girl detained at a site in Pecos EIS for more than 40 days said: "When we eat meals, the meat and eggs are sometimes a bit raw…Sometimes, I worry about eating the food because I don't want to get sick. I know of two kids [who] threw up after eating the food.…I have switched case managers three different times – I think that they just abandoned my case. No one has explained why I have had so many different case managers."

Federal employees detailed to the Fort Bliss shelter told Reason in May that there was rampant mismanagement inside the secretive site: There were persistent underwear shortages; children were crammed inside loud, dirty tents; contractors and federal employees were unqualified to work with children; and there were disturbing incidents of medical neglect.

Monday's legal filings also cite an audiotape of a training session for federal employees at the Fort Bliss EIS, first obtained by Reason. In the tape, the trainer says there has been inappropriate contact between minors and staff.

"We have already caught staff with minors inappropriately," the trainer says. "Is that OK with you guys? I hope not. We have also caught minors with minors, which is, you know—we've got teenagers in this shelter. What's happening with teenagers? Hormones, raging out of control. It's important that we maintain safety and vigilance. Be vigilant. Stop what is happening. If you don't watch these kids, and you're not the one who is going to step in, who's going to? Be that person to stand up for the minors because that's what we're here for."

The tapes were later included in a whistleblower complaint by two federal employees who were detailed to the Fort Bliss shelter between April and June. The whistleblowers said they witnessed intolerable noise, filth, and odors inside the large tents where children are housed; contractors who were wholly unqualified to work with youths; and hostility, indifference, and resistance to providing medical treatment to sick kids.

In June, numerous other testimonials by migrant youths were filed in federal court describing limited time outside, sporadic showers, and being served inadequate or unsafe food, including raw chicken and foul-smelling hamburgers.

Earlier this month, 33 members of Congress sent a letter to HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra expressing "immense concern and horror" at the whistleblower allegations and urging the HHS inspector general to immediately launch an investigation.

RE: Biden*s Migrant Crisis Just Keeps Getting Worse and Worse
White House Is Finally Taking Action on the Migrant Crisis – Is It Too Late?

Quote:It looks like the Biden administration finally realized it couldn’t keep running from the problem any longer. The White House has begun addressing the migrant crisis by ironically taking a slightly more Trumpian approach to the matter.

It seems the president has realized that failing to put forth solutions to this ongoing problem of his own making is not exactly helping him politically. However, it is worth asking: Is this too little too late?

The White House announced on Tuesday that it has begun expelling migrants into Mexico to stop repeated attempts to cross the border illegally. It is also employing other tactics designed to prevent these individuals from making it into the United States.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters on Tuesday that the administration started moving families caught entering the U.S. illegally to the interior of Mexico. The objective appears to be to move these individuals as far from the border as possible to cut down on repeated attempts to illegally cross the border.

Psaki explained:

We’ve also started initiating, as of last week, as of last Friday, expulsion flights into Mexico. The Department of Homeland Security started transferring certain families expelled under Title 42 by plane to the interior of Mexico. This is in order to attempt to cut down on recidivism and further spread of the Delta variant.

The press secretary also explained that the administration is also implementing “expedited removal,” which “allows an immigration official, generally a CBP official, to determine if a migrant is seeking protection or has an intent of applying for asylum.”

Psaki also indicated that the White House is using “lateral flights” to carry migrants from one area of the border to another, “where there might be more processing capability, or facility capacity, to expel migrants under Title 42.”

Well, better late than never, I suppose.

The administration is undoubtedly taking a positive step toward curbing the illegal immigration problem, which has drastically worsened since Biden took office. But why now? Why wouldn’t they do anything earlier in the year when it was clear that the situation was transforming into a full-blown crisis? The administration’s handling of the matter was so abysmal that even members of the activist media threw some criticisms at the president.

There might be multiple reasons explaining why the White House waited until now to take concrete steps to handle the problem. For starters, Biden was already taking heat from the far-left open borders crowd for reopening some of the facilities that were used to house unaccompanied minors under the Trump administration. After spending years clutching his pearls about “kids in cages” along with the rest of his fellow Democrats, Biden seemed to have a change of heart.

However, this move elicited criticism from the likes of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other hard leftists who would personally invite every migrant from across the globe into the country and grant them instant citizenship if she could. Perhaps Team Biden feared there would be more of a backlash from the progressive base if they actually tried to stop the flow of illegals attempting to gain entry into the country.

It is also worth speculating that perhaps the administration miscalculated when it came to public sentiment about the matter. In general, the Democrats have been woefully out of touch with the attitudes of the American people in several different areas. It is not difficult to imagine that they may have believed people didn’t take the immigration issue seriously enough for his mishandling of the crisis to harm him politically. If this is the case, it seems they have been disabused of that nation.

But realistically, they had plenty of evidence that Americans were not happy about the migrant crisis months ago. In April, an Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll revealed that 56 percent of Americans disapproved of Biden’s handling of the border crisis.

In June, a Harvard/Harris poll showed that 63 percent of Americans believed that illegal immigration has increased under Biden, and 61 percent of respondents felt the surge of unaccompanied minors at the southern border is the president’s fault. This particular study also found that 80 percent of Americans believe illegal immigration is “somewhat serious” or “very serious.”

Last, but not least, an ABC/Ipsos survey found that 83 percent of Republicans, 65 percent of Independents, and 37 percent of Democrats do not approve of the way Biden is dealing with the border crisis.

The bottom line is that the administration seems to have at last realized that the immigration issue is set to become an enormous millstone around the neck of the Democratic Party during the upcoming midterm elections. Embracing open borders is not a smart move, and neither was the decision to all but ignore the immigration issue – it was never going to go away on its own.

The situation has resulted in Customs and Border Protection (CBP) being overwhelmed with processing asylum claims, taking care of unaccompanied minors, and preventing more illegals from sneaking into the country. When it comes to the children, in particular, reports of substandard living conditions and even sexual abuse have arisen in certain facilities. Delays in transporting minors to other detention centers and eventually uniting them with relatives already living in the states have been a stark example of the White House’s incompetence.

At this point, the Biden administration seems to be trying to rectify the issue somewhat. But at this point, it might be too late to shield them from the political damage this situation has caused Democrats.

Biden Admin Is Reportedly Flying Migrants To A West Texas Town Before Releasing Them

Quote:The Biden administration is reportedly flying migrants to Abilene, Texas, before releasing them to board other flights with destinations around the U.S., KTAB News reported Thursday.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has reportedly flown migrants to the Abilene Regional Airport in unmarked planes before loading them onto buses on at least two occasions this month, according to KTAB. Migrants were later recorded disembarking the same buses and boarding flights to several U.S. cities.

The airport is notified of the flight’s arrival between 24 and 48 hours in advance and isn’t provided any other information beyond that the privately chartered flights are overseen by ICE, Abilene Director of Transportation Don Green said, according to KTAB.

“I am alarmed and extremely concerned by recent reports of illegal immigrants being released from local detention facilities in West Texas and transported to the Abilene community in my District,” Texas Republican Rep. Jodey Arrington said in a letter to Department of Homeland Security officials.

“It is my understanding that illegal immigrants are arriving at bus stations, the Abilene Airport, and other places within our community where they are free to travel anywhere in the United States,” Arrington added.

The Biden administration did not notify Arrington or local officials and has not yet responded to question about the operations or conditions of the migrant’s release, according to the Texas congressman.

The migrants are likely being transferred to Bluebonnet ICE Detention Facility located in Jones County, near Abilene, according to KTAB.

Illegal migrants may be flown or bussed to other detention centers along the southern border because of an increase in the number of encounters, a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) official told the Daily Caller News Foundation on Tuesday.

“The operational need for these sector-to-sector transfers is assessed daily based on the processing capability and facility capacity of each sector and not by external influences,” the CBP official told the DCNF. “The border is not open and CBP is still operating under Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines for the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Border officials encountered nearly 190,000 migrants at the southern border in June but 103,000 were expelled under a Trump-era public health order implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the agency.

“CBP is making every effort to remain within CDC guidelines and mitigate long periods of processing and holding to minimize potential exposure to our workforce, those in custody, and the community,” the official added. “Once processing is complete, these individuals will be expeditiously transferred out of CBP custody.”

ICE did not respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

Forty percent of migrants released in Texas border city test positive for COVID-19, officials say

Quote:AUSTIN, Texas — The city of Laredo, Texas, has refused to take in migrants who have been bused in from elsewhere on the border after discovering 40% of them tested positive for the coronavirus, according to two local government officials.

“That was very high,” Laredo Mayor Pete Saenz said in an interview, referring to the infection rate among migrants dropped off by the Border Patrol last week. Laredo health authority, Dr. Victor Trevino, confirmed the numbers.

The 40% infection rate is the highest known positivity rate along the U.S.-Mexico border. Last week, McAllen, Texas, reported a 15% positivity rate among migrants released from custody.

Concerned that migrants arriving in Laredo would further strain hospital resources, Laredo officials contracted private bus companies to transport migrants arriving from the Rio Grande Valley to larger cities across the state. By not admitting migrants on the McAllen buses, the city is not required to test them for the coronavirus and could forward the families elsewhere. Those who test positive cannot travel and must be quarantined for 10 days, a situation Saenz wanted to evade to avoid migrant overflow.

Since late spring, Border Patrol officials in the Rio Grande Valley region have transported thousands of migrant families to Laredo because shelters were less inundated than those in McAllen. Migrants were immediately tested at the shelter upon being admitted. In that time, coronavirus positivity rates among migrants arriving in Laredo rose from 4% in April to 40% in August.

Laredo does not have a pediatric intensive care unit. With several families arriving in Laredo recently, city officials worried young children would not get emergency care if they were forced to quarantine.

This past week, the city began busing migrants on to Austin, Dallas, and Houston. Laredo selected those three cities because they were among the top places migrants planned to go after crossing the border.

The extended bus rides are free to migrants, and the city is picking up the cost, up to $10,000 per day. Saenz expects to be reimbursed by the federal government.

TX Gov. Greg Abbott: Biden Admin Creating ‘Constitutional Crisis’

Quote:Republican Gov. Greg Abbott is showing Joe Biden why you don’t mess with Texas.

The Biden administration sued Texas in an effort to block an executive order from Abbott that allowed state troopers to stop vehicles suspected of carrying illegal immigrants on the grounds that they may be spreading COVID-19.

In a letter to Abbott, Attorney General Merrick Garland threatened that the order was “dangerous” and “contrary to federal law.”

Abbott responded to Garland with fire and fury.

“The Biden Administration has created a constitutional crisis between the federal government and the State of Texas,” Abbott said.

“This stems from the Biden Administration’s refusal to enforce immigration laws and allow illegal immigrants with COVID-19 to enter our country,” he said.

Abbott said that his state is being “overrun and overwhelmed” by the record number of migrants and that “cartels and smugglers profit off the chaos.”

“Not only that, but this crisis also extends beyond the border as deadly drugs like fentanyl infiltrates our communities,” the governor said.

“This already dangerous situation continues to deteriorate as the Biden Administration knowingly imports COVID-19 into Texas from across the border—willfully exposing Texans and Americans alike,” he said.

“President Biden has a duty and a responsibility to protect and uphold our nation’s sovereignty, yet he has long-since abdicated his authority to do so,” he said.

“Abbott claimed that he had to take action with his executive order as the ‘Biden Administration sits on the sidelines,” the governor said.

“I have the authority, and duty, under the constitutions of the United States and of Texas to protect Texans and our nation,” he said.

“I also have the authority under long-established emergency response laws to control the movement of people to better contain the spread of a disaster, such as those known to have COVID-19,” he said.

Before that, he responded directly to Attorney general Garland with a letter of his own in which he said that Garland’s letter “conflicts with my authority, and duty, to protect citizens of Texas and the United States.”

“Your actions, combined with the actions and omissions of the Biden Administration, directly conflict with my authority as Governor,” the governor said.

“The Biden Administration is failing and refusing to enforce immigration laws by allowing migrants to unlawfully enter into the United States,” he said.

In his letter, he said that it is true that the Constitution gives the authority to the federal government to create immigration policies.

“However, the Constitution does not allow the Biden Administration to fabricate its own immigration laws,” he said.

“Worse, the Biden Administration is knowingly admitting hundreds of thousands of unauthorized migrants, many of whom the federal government knows full well have COVID-19,” the governor said.

“To be clear, the Biden Administration is knowingly importing COVID-19 into Texas from across the border and knowingly exposing Texans and Americans to that disease,” he said.

“Alternatively, the Biden Administration could simply enforce the existing federal immigration laws and stop admitting migrants who are not authorized by Congress to be admitted. That would substantially reduce the importation of COVID-19 while also fulfilling the federal government’s role to faithfully execute the laws of the United States

“My office remains committed to working with you and the Department of Justice to ensure that we achieve the twin goals of applying the laws of the United States and of this state, while also preventing the knowing importation of COVID-19 into our communities,” he said.

Biden Invited In COVID-Positive Migrants, But Also Rapists, Child Molesters And Gang Bangers

Quote:CNN’s Brianna Keilar apparently woke up wanting to look ridiculous on national television so she delivered a painfully long monologue Monday about conservatives “demonizing” illegal immigrants spreading COVID-19, doing so very much with President Joe Biden’s blessing.

Even admitting that “there is a crisis on the border,” Keilar felt that the more pressing matter at hand was Republicans like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis who have pointed out that migrants coming in daily by the tens of thousands are compounding our ongoing problems with the pandemic.

“There’s no proof of some large-scale importation of COVID-sickened migrants to Florida that could be blamed for the terrible infection numbers in DeSantis’ state,” Keilar sassed.

Ah, that’s a nice sleight of hand from the “Facts First” network. Illegal aliens claiming asylum are turned loose into the country to go wherever they want but because we can’t specifically total up the COVID-positive ones who have gone to Florida, there’s “no proof.”

In any event, who gives a sh-t if we can’t trace illegal immigrant COVID spread in one state? It’s a fact, reported no less by NBC, that nearly a quarter of the families and unaccompanied minors throwing themselves into the care of Border Patrol are testing positive for the virus. That would mean in June, the most recent month for which full government data is available, something like 15,000 people with COVID crossed into the country.

And those are just the ones border agents managed to record. And of course, they’re all coming because they heard Biden invite them in. They all say it and they’re exposing the men and women monitoring our border to a deadly disease, thanks to the president.

But while we’re talking about the border, let’s remember that the migrants bringing more COVID-19 into the country are the least of our worries.

Brianna Keilar can feel very self-satisfied about the lack of “proof” that illegal aliens are spreading the virus in Florida, but she can’t say the same for the rapists, child molesters, and gang bangers who are well documented.

Here’s a look at just a few of the most recent run-ins at the border thanks to Biden and Kamala Harris’s more “compassionate” position on immigration.

On Aug. 4, Texas border agents said they arrested two MS-13 gang members as well as an illegal alien who was previously convicted in California “for forcible oral copulation with a minor under 14 years old.”

The same day, Texas agents “arrested two undocumented individuals in two separate incidents with prior convictions for a sexual offense.”

On Aug. 1, Texas authorities detained a 38-year-old Mexican male who “had an outstanding felony warrant for the sex offense against a child-fondling.”

On July 27, agents detained a Salvadoran member of MS-13 with a criminal record. The next day, they arrested a Mexican member of the Suernos gang who had previously been convicted of aggravated robbery in Texas. Shortly thereafter, Border Patrol arrested a 22-year-old Salvadoran member of MS-13 who had also had a prior burglary conviction in New Jersey.

On July 23, authorities in Texas arrested a 25-year-old Salvadoran woman known to be affiliated with MS-13 and with a criminal record for “unlawful possessions of firearms of war, extortion and illicit groupings.” That night, a 46-year-old Mexican man was arrested and I.D.’d as a registered sex offender who had been convicted of sexual assault of a 13-year-old child. Also arrested was a 38-year-old Honduran who had a prior conviction of “possession of obscene material with a minor.”

We could do this all day. It never ends. That’s who Biden invited into the country, along with COVID-19.

Border Agents Share Images of Dangerously Overcrowded Immigration Facilities

How does the Biden administration think it has any credibility on the dangers of COVID when we can see how they’re handling the border?

‘This Is Lunacy’: Frustrated Border Patrol Agents Take Pictures of Overcrowded Detention Facilities

The Biden administration’s handling of the ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border continues to flounder as the massive influx of people illegally crossing into the U.S. remains at an all-time high, leading to overcrowding at holding facilities with COVID-19 still being an issue.

Video taken this week by a source in the Rio Grande Valley Sector shows immigrants in a holding facility packed in tightly, with some not wearing masks. This has lead to Border Patrol having to take people apprehended elsewhere in the sector to the temporary holding site underneath the Anzalduas International Bridge in Mission, Texas, where outside temperatures reach above 100 degrees on a daily basis.

“They are way past capacity – so aliens sit outside because where do you take them? Logistically it’s a nightmare – people want to go to the bathroom, need to eat, women need to breastfeed, and the list goes on…This has surpassed the point of sustainability – this is lunacy,” the source said.

John Sexton of Hot Air adds this:

It’s hard to overstate what a complete disaster the Biden response to this crisis has been. First off, the administration is directly responsible for creating it despite warnings this would happen. Then when the numbers started to spike in March, Biden latched on to some very dubious claims present by immigration experts affiliated with the Center for American Progress. Biden himself repeated claims that the migration was just seasonal, suggesting it would drop off as the weather got warmer. Obviously that hasn’t happened.

The Democrats and cable news hosts who shrieked about this under Trump are nowhere to be found. It’s because they never really cared. They only used the issue as a political hammer.

Now many of the same people have turned their attention to COVID. How are we supposed to take them seriously on that issue when they have nothing to say about what’s happening at the border?

RE: Biden*s Migrant Crisis Just Keeps Getting Worse and Worse
146,000 Migrants Apprehended in July in Texas-Based Border Sectors — Up 16 Percent from June

Quote:Border Patrol agents in the five Texas-based sectors apprehended 146,212 migrants in July who illegally crossed the border from Texas. This represents more than 73 percent of all migrants apprehended last month in the nine southwest border sectors. It also represents an increase of percent over June’s 126,485 apprehensions.

Border Patrol agents assigned to the Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, Del Rio, Big Bend, and El Paso Sectors apprehended 146,212 migrants in July, according to the Southwest Border Land Encounters report released by U.S. Customs and Border Protection late last week. These include the apprehensions of 61,779 family unit aliens, 15,267 unaccompanied alien children, and 68,666 single adult aliens.

[Image: July-Southwest-Border-Land-Encounters-by-Sector.png]

While Texas is host to five of the nine southwest border sectors, the apprehension of migrants in these sectors accounts for 73 percent of the total apprehensions along the U.S.-Mexico border. The July apprehensions also show an increase from one month earlier of 16 percent.

Breitbart Texas reported last month that during the first nine months of Fiscal Year 2021 (which began on October 1, 2020) the Texas-based border sector agents apprehended more than 732,573 migrants. That number now stands at 878,785 apprehensions in ten months.

Agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector in southeast Texas continue to lead all Border Patrol sectors with the apprehension of 80,306 migrants. These include 48,464 family units,20,803 single adults, and 11,036 unaccompanied children.

The Del Rio Sector jumped into second place with the apprehension of 33,517 migrants including 21,079 single adults, 11,567 family units, and 881 unaccompanied minors.

During a visit to the Rio Grande Valley Sector last week, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told reporters, “The situation at the border is one of the toughest challenges we face. It is complicated, changing, and involves vulnerable people at a time of a global pandemic,” Breitbart reported. He attempted to blame the Trump administration for the surge in what he called the “cruel policies of the past administration.”

Breitbart Texas’ Randy Clark, a 32-year Border Patrol veteran, responded to Mayorkas visit, saying, “Mayorkas failed to address the impact of thousands of migrants being detained in inhumane conditions due to the sheer volume of traffic crossing the southern border — a level that has overwhelmed available resources at all levels of government.”

Mayorkas also appeared to ignore recent reports showing that 20 percent of the migrant children being released into Texas under his administration are testing positive for COVID-19 — after being released by Border Patrol. Additionally, 18 percent of the migrant families being released are testing positive.

Many of the migrants being released by the Border Patrol are being placed on buses without being tested for the coronavirus and transported to major cities across Texas.

“What we’re doing is coordinating with the EMC, the emergency management coordinators, in Austin and Houston, and I believe even Dallas, too,” Laredo Mayor Pete Saenz, a Democrat, told reporters. “Then, it’s really up to them to continue offering PPEs, masks, hygiene, whatever they require.”

“The reason why we don’t do testing is that once you test, there’s an obligation,” Saenz explained. “If they’re positive, we’re told that you have to quarantine. We don’t have the infrastructure for that.”

“Border Patrol was very clear that they were just going to put them out in the street, in our plazas. And, of course, we couldn’t have that,” Saenz told reporters.

“I know some people may say, ‘you’re basically transporting untested people to other cities.’ And the answer is ‘yes,’ the border mayor concluded, “But what alternative do we have here, locally?”

I see nothing wrong with this policy.

I'm glad we can finally agree that this is a good thing.
