Hate all of the movement - where is this going?
I really hate all of this movement in college football. What is all of this going to do to other sports if they get down to two or three mega conferences. I wish this was football only movement. I don’t like how it could potentially impact college basketball if they do what everyone is thinking they are going to do.

They need some kind of agreed upon entity or governing body in college football to oversee everything. Obviously the NCAA is not the answer. It feels like everyone is reacting to one conferences agenda, which is being driven by network influence/money. And it seems really stupid to me. All of these behind-the-scenes back room discussions and handshake deals going on by a select few. They are going to impact the entire landscape of college sports.

IMO, they should form a committee in college football, bring everyone to the table, get everyones input, vote on it, draft some new rules and guidelines, elect/put someone in charge to oversee and hold people accountable, and move forward.

Currently, all of college football, and it’s beginning to like all of college sports futures are being manipulated by a select few. And no one else has any say in the direction it’s going. It’s really stupid. I am done ranting.

Opinions?

Consolidation of the Top 28 teams onto the SEC and the B1G for a college semi-pro AFC-NFC type thing.

The rest shall go back to regional conferences to play college football and enjoy themselves.

I think the end game is 2 conferences (B1G and SEC), 20-24 teams each.

The tail (college football) has been wagging the dog (NCAA) for some time now. The dog is about to throw up. Everyone will just step around the mess.

College football in general is directionless.

ESPN. Or, to put a point on it, Disney.

Then college sports will seem really stupid to you. And you won’t be wrong.
