Maybe this turns into the Pac-12 taking a couple of Texas teams. New time zone and geographic area plus Texas recruiting might make it worth it to add a couple. But a full-blown merger --- its hard to see how that would work financially.

Pack gets all good games for the foreseeable future and the benefits without having to fork up the cash to take on a school as a member.

The big 12 gets to keep it's schools in tact at least from the Pac12.

Sometimes I don’t understand the PAC... I mean, haven’t they not yet received the latest news UT & OU are divorcing the LIL8.

When UT & OU are gone the rest of the LIL8’s attendance will drop... No one including their fans won’t care anymore much less show up to games.
