Offshoot of a thread I posted on the main board. Obviously the reporting methods are inconsistent but it was still an interesting exercise; I excluded 2020 for obvious reasons. Where prudent I split apart a conference into two for major change.

Sun Belt: 16,656 (only two games)

Big takeaways: wow the C-USA fell off the earth once they lost some of their larger programs. AAC is top as would be expected. We do alright in Detroit for a G5 neutral site but definitely draw better with a Michigan school or Toledo winning the West.

Doesn't AAC play their's on campus stadium? I assume Sun Belt and CUSA do too but honestly have no idea.

Also, the MAC Championship is usually on a weekday.

Correct, we're the only neutral site game in the G5.

For MACC in Detroit, that 45,600 for the 2016 MACC looks even more impressive. The second-highest was 25,500 (CMU vs Ohio, 2006).

NY6 bowl, Top 15 ranking and hosting ESPN Game Day took some of the sting off waiting so long.

Lol no doubt it was a great season, definitely jealous, was an amazing team

Toledo vs. Bowling Green OR vs. Miami would be very heavily attended. Also Any of the Michigans (Yes even EMU) would travel better than UT, but the combined story line wouldnt lead to a combo big crowd like the former. There has been a lot of NIU / and UB / and Ohio Combos in the last decade featuring decent distance travel, so our number makes sense.
